 I just dislike the BF series in general. I don't like the game play (opinions).

Maybe the PS3 version. I dunno though, everyone everyone everyone is so obsessed with skyrim I think I'm going to get that instead.

Yea, the reason I'm not getting MW3 right away is because my Xbox live subscription ran out last week and I still have no cable/internet. I'm grabbing skyrim though, saved my birthday cash just for it.

Im gonna get BF3
the COD series is the same every year with the addition of unrealistic perks and annoying features. plus the maps are way too small, its an arena style shooter
BF has always had huge maps that can take you 15+ minutes to walk from one end to the other, sweet vehicles, sweet strategically mounted weapons, commander and squad style leadership, better objectives than just killing everything... I could go on and on forever
COD2 though I did enjoy, i miss the bolt action rifles, actually made the game a little challenging

and see, the arena style is what i want. I don't like huge maps, personally i could say the battlefield games are the same every single year too. when i play an fps i want non-stop action KILLKILLKILL style. Plus i enjoy the perk system and killstreaks, i could pass out playing battlefield (opinions). I guess i should just get it myself and have the double xp to just me. Lol

Same thang for me, I really never liked BF games ... Arena style thang is so nice, even more with exploding crossbow or tomahawk

pluss there are quite a few wide open maps with most COD games. I can't remember names, but one with an x shaped bush and a tunnel/bunker. Overgrown was pretty big, that one with like 2 garages, a power station, and 'grandmas house' was pretty big I actually got myself kind of excited about MW3 now... I wanna go noobtubing or maybe knife all game. Lol, although i do most roles. The main weapons i don't use are the auto shotguns/duel wield shotguns: the spas is my personal favorite. I was kind of annoyed when they made shotguns pimary weapons in BlOPS. (I hate posting from my phone, it's such a hassle to even check threads. It's dial up all over again.)

i dunno COD never tickled my fancy. It's ok i guess, but... meh.
I've never played battlefield but i've heard a lot of good things, i'll probably give it a shot.
I'll probably pick up skyrim as well.

I miss rainbow 6, specifically rainbow 6: 3 back on the 1st xbox. Fun times 
I stopped playing modern warfare after the first one. I'm pretty much completely burnt out on shooters. 15 years of playing them will do that to ya 
Unless these upcoming first person shooters do something completely revolutionary in it's gameplay. Ehh not really worth the $60 bucks imo But they do look pretty

you played rainbow 6 three too? What about black arrow? I played both on xbox live, chances are we probably player. I've been on live since mechwarrior, i got a pretty 7 next to my name on live account. Rainbow 6 three was pretty great, that ganme was a lot more about headshots then CoD though. G36C was my favorite gun in that game.

i disagree, due to the aforementioned reasons. I have played mist of the battlefield series and just been like 'wtf is this shit, sooooo boring.' (opinions) i just really can't understand what is so fun about it to people, and i'm probably one of the more ecclectic(sp?) gamers around.

Yeah man I didn't play too much of black arrow though. Haha the g36c was good I preferred the ak-47 though. First few shots were deadly long range and mid range was just perfect for me. Great shooter but like with most games back then, glitches were notorious (lean walkers argg)
You see I'm a headshot kind of guy. That's why I prefer the older shooters. These newer shooters have made gameplay easier to cater to the casual game market.
But whatever I still got game series like Ninja Gaiden and others that haven't nerfed their difficulty. Just to appeal to a bigger market. Hell I'm dying to get my hands on Dark Souls. It looks ridiculously insane from what I've seen. My kind of a game
I miss mech assault so much though. Nothing like destroying things with big robots.
Cool to know someone else that played before halo 2 was released. As much as I love the halo series. It brought upon a massive surge of morons to the xbl community.

I never really got into COD. I played the first World At War, and never got any of the other ones. And I only played that one because it came with my 360 when I got it.
I guess I'm more into single player campaign games. Bioshock, Borderlands, Dead Space, etc. I love those.

My cousins too. I haven't ever seen them play a campaign on any game. Just Halo all day every day. Every time I go over they're playing the online for Halo lol. EVERY TIME.
They were 2 of the dudes who stayed on the Halo 2 online after it closed so long they got beta access to one of the newer games for being such big fans.

Halo 2 was the pinnacle of the series, for me. The following Halo games were just superfluous. I spent arguably too much time playing.
