Question about wiring.
    #591543 - 10/11/11 01:11 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Can I wire 2 150 watt HPS bulbs onto one ballast?

"Integrated ignitor reactor ballast
150W S55 High Pressure Sodium Lamp
120V 60HZ 3.20 A
(1.50A with cap)
Optional 52MFD or 55MFD
120V cap
AD180
Ground ballast core and
metallic capacitor case"

As well as a wiring diagram that I wont bore you with.

I was given 2 150watt HPS bulbs and only one ballast so I'm debating if I should get another ballast or spend my money some other way. My space is 7.5 square feet.

In order to grow good weed you need to be part carpenter, electrician, plumber, biologist, geneticist, chemist, and very willing to get dirty.

I've been working with power tools since I was 8, my dad is an electrical engineer who owned a 280 gal fish tank, and I studied biology with a specialty in genetics. Getting dirty comes naturally. I think my parents inadvertently trained me to be a weed grower.

See what you think on my first try.

I would get another ballast.  They are usually rated for what what there using.

I'm no electrician but I think it depends on what your house is wired at. As long as its 240v or lower you should be fine if I'm not mistaken.
