I'm a total noob looking for help with choosing nutrients. What do you guys think about the Technaflora Recipe for Success Starter Pack? It is cheaper than the Foxfarm trio pack and it looks like it has more to offer.

I have a co-op running on it for the past three years. I personally don't like it, but my partner does and he pays the bills. It works well, producting good yields, and a nice clean product. Great for noobs because it's so easy to use. Get a ppm meter to avoid over feeding.
We add monster bloom in at about week 5, to increase final yields these days.

I bought the starter pack a few grows back and it's performance has me hooked.
If your running 1000 watt or less, the starter pack would be sufficient for one grow but any more than that and you'll run out before harvest.
Good luck!

currently running it. the system i bought came with a free RFS kit. works well, i have no problems with it. but if you are running a reservoir of any size the starter kit won't make it to harvest. i have a 18 gallon hybrid top feed/DWC, and i had to buy more 2 weeks into flower. think next run i'm gonna go with general hydroponics floranova series. looks alot easier, less to deal with. and lower cost

I'd stay away from the nova series.
In the past it has had high praise but I don't think it has any shelf life.
The great thing about other brands is you don't mix them until they are needed.
With the nova series everthing is in 1 bottle and over time it throws the chemical compositions off.
I unofficially rename the nova series to the deficiency series.

i don't plan on keeping the stuff around, i'm gonna use it. just saying with the TF RFS there are too many different components. week two of flower i had to buy more BOOST, SUGAR DADDY ,B-1 RED, and MAGICAL. even buying gals. i wont have enough for another run, probably just use them on next years garden grow. plenty of chicken shit compost goes in my garden each year, so i don't use much in the garden .
