I don't know if anyone has tried this, but it's the easiest method I've ever tried, hands down. Just heard about it.

$1.50 worth of dry ice, one bubble bag, bucket, collection surface, card, trim/buds. That's all you need.
I used a 5gal bucket with a 120u filter bag with about 3oz of trim and small buds. Not sure of the total starting weight, it was all frozen. Some frozen wet, some frozen dry, fan leaves up to bud. I think there was some from the following strains:
Blueberry (unknown sativa pheno)
Diesel - G13 labs
Grape Ape
Sour Grape
Pineapple Express
unknown indica dom
Yield after ~8min of shaking was 7.6g 
After a 2nd run of about 20min yield was 15.8g of slightly darker substance
for a total of 23.4g of hash from ~3oz of starting material.
No full melt here, but I only used one bag (120u). Unpressed, it burns to a white ash and when pressed requires help from a flame to keep going.
You could use multiple bags though, starting with the finest one then swapping to the larger mesh sizes. I think I did read someone said the smallest mesh size bag didn't filter well, you would want to use the next size up, usually ~45u or ~70u depending on the set. I believe you could get close to full melt by doing it that way and not shaking for more than 3-4min the first run.

You should check this shit out cause I think I found the only way I'm going to make hash from now on! Well, except for oils.

I'ma really make an effort to save up my trim then.
Also - lol, the nearest one is 203 miles away. When I was driving into the city recently I saw a big building that said Dry Ice on it, so I'll just try to find that when the time comes.
Any ideas on what size mesh is best to use for this stuff? I'm inclined to go with whatever hes using in the second video. Keeping in mind I'm not super anal about having super "pure" hash. All hash gets me wrecked, so more is better...even if theres a bit of extra junk in there.

So I did a little experiment, I bought an Oz. of mid-grade, some people call it regs, commercial mexican/so-cal/tennesee/kentucky style stuff. Was told it was mexican. It was green with some nice large buds, not too many seeds, smelled a bit grassy.
I intended to separate the piles more often than last time to see when the quality started to degrade. As I got into it, I decided not to and only did 2 runs. First yielded exactly 3g of nice blond kief, 2nd run yielded exactly 4g of darker, slightly green kief. That's a total yield of just over 7g when you add the bit I smoked before weighing and the bit that was on the table around the collection bowl that I didn't weigh.
2nd run still very good, pressed into balls very easily. Again, I only used a 120u bag.
One thing you should watch out for is condensation! The hash will be very cold after if exits the bag. I would advise waiting an hour or 2 before collecting the kief from the bowl or at least hold off on pressing any of it for a day to let the condensation evap off. I did see a bit of white mold on the chunks I pressed the first time around, opened the bag and let it dry over-night, no more mold.

It'd be interesting to see how much a full oz of high grade home grown would yield.
I hear a lot of the bud that gets down to consumers is kiefed...

tried this method exactally as shown save your time you get poor quality the way shown, the dry ice even takes the plant matter and breakes it down small enough to get through the bag so your not getting hash your just grinding your weed up really well thats why you can start with 3 ounces and get 2 back, when your done in the bucket was left over sticks and stems. This method looks really cool but don't waste your time looking for dry ice just buy a better grinder. Also the finish product is powder I used a microscope to look in on it and you can see plant matter and trichromes, hence why it doesn't melt.

Still preferable to iso imo.
And a better grinder wouldn't help me do oz and oz of trim. Maybe a traditional screen, but that takes much more effort than this.

What exactly is classified as trim?
Is it everything else but the buds?
I would have no problem trying it if so.
ThoughI wouldn't wanna do it to the buds i have worked so hard to grow, lol
I can easily get Dry Ice here in Australia. What size micron bag do you guys recommend?
I was planning on buying a set for bubble hash, but seeing as they are so expensive, buying just one for using with this method would be better. Or even 2, compared to buyin a whole set.

If I were to try this method, I'd go no longer than 75 to 90 micron myself.
And yes final trimmings are all I use for making bubble hash.

It seems the simplest easiest and quickest method compared to bubble hash, BHO, and other extraction methods.
Are you able to smoke it right away? Or should it dry overnight. If memory serves me correctly, dry ice is dry and very very cold. As long as there is no water it shouldn't melt into the trim/hasg right?

Also, in regards to most product being keifed before it reaches the end user, how is this done?
I'm not a dealer or anything, but if i were to have alot of people over for a smoke, or to give some to a friend who is really just an aquaintance and not a true friend, I could give them that instead, lol
Is it just the same process in the bubble bags without the dry ice?
How would it affect bag appeal, besides having little to no crystals?
