You cant really do dual screen gaming with any games, a couple flight sims, but most games dont have any support
SLI is fun, but IMO its just better to get one good card

Ahhh I see. Hows your book coming along?
I have decided I want to put the larger part of my budget into the CPU, Motherboard, video card and case (hopefully it will last for a couple computers). So right now I am thinking i7 2600k, Asus Maximus IV, maybe corsair 800D case, no idea on graphics card (PCI express), 4 gb x 2 corsair ram, 1 tb HDD and an SSD if I can squeeze it into the budget, also a corsair liquid cpu cooler. Maybe go full liquid cooled down the road if I get more into this. So what would you recommend for a graphics card? Considering right now I am up to about $1500 and would like to keep it under 2k even max. And would an 850w power supply handle all this plus maybe a cooling system later on?

dont get the corsair liquid cooler, all liquid cooling kits suck, you would be better off with a standard air cooler
and yeah im done with my book, what ya need help with ??

modular PSUs are a gimmick, only more room for shit to go wrong
But if you are gonna get one thermaltake makes pretty good PSUs and they have modular ones too
Just check the reviews heavily on PSUs

If you were to buy a watercooling kit, this is the only semi decent one that I can find being sold at the moment
http://www.petrastechshop.com/swh2ulcpulic.html
swiftech is a pretty good brand, the radiator could be improved, but the waterblock and pump are all the best to be had (or just about)

I will probably just get a decent air cooler then until I am capable of doing a full water system. I just though the modularity made sense but I suppose you are right about a lot more places for things to go wrong. I will take your recommendation on the power supply.

You wont regret it, modular ones look a little cooler, but they can be a pain in the ass, also you loose a cable and you will never ever find a replacement
and yeah, they will not only tolerate you but they will turn you into a pro if you take their advice and check out the tutorials, PCs are wayyy easier than most people think

This site is great... their really good help over there.
Now I just need to decide on the case, SSD and version of windows and I am good to go.
Edit: Think I will go OCZ vertex 2 60 gb for the SSD, they speak highly of those over there.
I like the silverstone cases but if I want to go liquid cooled down the road I want a case with an opening behind the motherboard right? I cant seem to find a silverstone case I like that also has that option.
