you know what i did in english class? I recently tried kratom for my first time and really enjoyed it. I experienced a nice euphoric buzz, somewhat stimulating at first then became more sedating, left me with a happy clear and calm feeling. I have social anxiety/awkwardness occasionally, kratom melted that away more so than what alcohol or benzos does for me and while keeping my mind lucid.
The buzz is relatively short (1.5 to 3 hours for me) but you can always re-dose. And I experienced a headache during the comedown on two different occasions, but it wasn't that bad.
I think it's an awesome plant, on par with cannabis in my opinion .

Trust me and yourself, if ya wanna try kratom it is really mellow! and lucid o:
If you get a regular powder like regular bali, just use, 10-20gram, id start in the 10-15g dose(20 if you think u got a good stomach), down it with orange juice or something, just put it in the orange juice and drink it, looks nasty, doesnt taste like much, only annying thing is the kratom gets stuck in small bubbles in the juice it might get a little powdery in there. Yo call -
I usually have a great time on it, I dont move around much during the trip, mostly to pee or go lie in bed for the rest of the night after a few albums of music. Feels real mellow as long as you dont always do it too often I guessed, your spiritual call. I noticed sometimes id get reeeeeaaal warm sensations on the day after as long as I didnt puke any of it up, my best reccomendation is do a large dose and lie in bed all day the day after, just do the kratiom in the afternoon-evening, and dont have too much food in your stomach.
Love it.

probably bunk, i though the same for a while but recently tried some high quality stuff and was blown away
id recommend not making tea and just mixing what you were going to take in water and chugging it.

I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I don't even bother with making the tea....I'll just toss a few grams in my mouth then wash it down with a beer or something. I also like holding 0.5g or so under my tongue (Sublingual) during the come up.

I notice a stimulant effect initially then it turns a little more sedating. Lower doses are said to generally be more stimulating. It also really depends on the strain

What I find interesting about the active alkaloids in kratom, though, is that they are more structurally related to psychedelic tryptamines than they are to classic opiate alkaloids. But they do no produce psychedelic effects, rather, they're mostly mu-opioid receptor agonists.
At lower doses, Mitragynine exhibits a yohimbine-like binding to alpha-adrenergic receptors, as well as some binding to the delta opioid receptors. As doses increase, binding to delta receptors increases, and in yet higher doses, crossover to mu receptors occurs....So the character of the effects are very dose dependent, not to mention each strain of kratom has a different make up/ratio of alkaloids.

No you won't, as far as I know. Even though the alkaloids have action on opioid receptors, they (as well as their metabolites) are not related to the "classic" opiates so I am damn near positive they will not show up on a drug test.
But I have heard drug tests to detect kratom are in development, which is fucked because the plant isn't even illegal...yet.

As mentioned above, we are not exactly using our heads.. right.
Anyways! I recently went to the psychiatry ward (again, boo )for 3 months for.. lets just call it jailtime.
Anyways, They did piss tests on me there, after like 2 months, and my opiate line was very vague, same as my thc line, will all other drug lines were all fresh and clear, that means that after two months I still had opiates in my system and the thc was from a small amount of budder and a half bongrip I took while I was locked up, but the line was still there so I got in no trouble ;D
So it might show up on drug tests, if you cant use your damned head right.
