I always found him to have the least terrifying stances. I guess he would be terrifying if you have a vested interest in all the hegemony.

I doubt you'll find any candidate whom you would agree with across the board. Ron Paul is one of the few people who sticks to his principles of states rights, rather than compromise those when it comes to social issues such as abortion or gay marriage like other so called republicans.
I don't agree with everything but upon comparing him to everyone else, well there's not much of a choice. I would even go to say that if a candidate has a serious opinion about gay marriage and abortion other than it should be decided by the states that instantly disqualifies them in my mind. If they can't stay true to the constitution in that instance then why should I trust them with anything else?

He is the only person in Washington DC who will even begin to address our nations real problems instead of playing political circle-jerk.

I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

He's also pro-life among other things.
He also supports lower tax rates, which I don't support.
He also supports an opt out program for Social Security. The problem is we have old people that already paid in, and get money from the new people that are paying in. So if people opt out the oldies are either fucked, or the gov has to pay it out of taxes (which i don't really care it's whatever to me, but he's against raising income tax.
I mean, the top 2 things kind of are what makes it impossible for me to vote for him; and they are the terrifying parts to me. I could say more but i gotsta smoke.

I will say this though, I like him as a congressman. I genuinely like most of the shit he proposes, i just don't want him in the executive branch because my ideologies differ too much.

Kinda harsh words for the smoke lounge bro.
if you agree with Ron Paul on the issues listed you can kindly say in a civil manner. But you know whatever, just be rude like you tend to be.
I'll just know you don't have any actual rebuttal to my point, and want to name call/troll.

Rick perry is better because he only boasts the largest economic growth in the country without an income tax might I add.

Rick Perry is bullshit. All the growth was in menial labor jobs, not much of significance.
I will try to get some data to back this up if I'm called names, otherwise I'm far too lazy.

I just hate republicunts, because i'm opposed to about 90% of the things they do. The Kansas state government doesn't make me like them any more either.
Sam Brownback is just plain stupid.

Not a surprising stance coming from a seed of the woodlands.

Yes, Ron Paul is pro-life but he clearly states that the issue should be decided by the states, not the federal government. As far as lower taxes, that has to do with the federal level. He could care less about individual states and their decisions.
Which I partly agree with, though I think we need a more universal, well funded education system. We have too much disparity between states as far as the quality of education goes in our public schools.

I tend to not be pro states right. To me all that does is hinder progress. See: Jim crow laws.

Well, to reword that so nobody gets me wrong.
I'm not anti federal essentially, i like states power as it is now.
I already knew he also wants states to decide it.
I personally don't want to live in kansas if the feds have no power over them, and kansas legislature has the end all with laws/regulations here.
All it would do is cause the democrats to flee red states, and republicans to flee blue states. Idk if mixed states would cause to much pressure on people to leave or if it would tip to one side eventually. I would have to go to Colorado or something.

But then you create too many complications between the cultures of the individual states and the federal government. See: marijuana laws.
Also jim crow laws could easily be argued unconstitutional, obviously. Just because you're pro-states rights doesn't mean any individual state can just make up any laws it pleases. The laws still have to follow the federal constitution. However with giving the federal government excess power it has exceeded the original expectations of its power circle.
Obviously some things should be managed at the federal level, for instance it was a poor situation having states have their own individual currency. But the vast majority of things create inequality when argued at the federal level. You have situations like in California where a state majority has decided on a law yet the federal government has the power to override what the people have voted on.
Also laws are notoriously difficult to overturn at the federal level.
