You heard me. What do you use? Personally, being the hip youngster I am and trying to stay up to date with my hip young peers, I use a Mac. What is your opinion on both, experience using either, or do you just have a hard cock for Linux. Whatever the case may be.

Mac for home desktop, FreeBSD for personal and work servers.
I'm a Unix tech by trade, the Mac lets me talk natively to all the machines @ work (BSD & HP-UX) with no extra software.
I wasn't a Mac fan until they integrated the BSD shit with OS X and added all the purty eye candy. Having a user-friendly desktop with good application support AND a solid Unix back-end was a fucking godsend for a lot of us *n?x nerds.

That choice Linux makes no sense being on that poll.
Why did you include it?

Mini's are . Love mine, even though it is an old G4 model. Once it's past it's usability, it'll make a great dedicated iTunes server.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I highly suggest it, a mac mini is a great computer for about 800 base price. I got an extra gb of ram, cause the stock one only has 1. I run a Windows XP virtual machine, photoshop, lots of other apps and never experience lag issues. As long as I reboot once a week or so. My XP virtual machine actuallys runs FASTER than I have ever seen XP run on its own hardware.
There is a rumor of a Mac mini redesign, making it even smaller and more powerful in the next year or so.

i use a pc, am not a big mac fan, and probably will not switch to mac (unless i get a laptop).
i have built my last 3 pcs, usually with good success. sometimes have some hardware issues, and i know they're pretty much absent with mac
i have become so accustomed to the windows os that learning a new os at this point would be very irritating. plus all the best games are on pc, and mac gots no gamez for the l33t h4x0rz r0flmaoslol

PC anyday.
Macs are good for people who know nothing about computer hardware/software. Either than that your paying for an linux box with overpriced hardware.
Building a PC is the way to go. XP runs uber fast on any hardware 2006 or newer.
I must admit Mac laptops are nice, very well built and run cool.

It's really stupid calling Intel machines "PC's" when in fact, all home computers are PC's.

not true. i do web development and design and linux server administration. i know a lot more about computer hardware/software than you. Just about every media professional who knows their shit, whether it be video editor, 3D designer, graphic designer, all use Macs. It improved my workflow tremendously. I used to use PCs, and work on Macs now because I can get shit done much faster.
OSX is built on unix, making it naturally more stable than Windows, especially this Windows Vista crap, a total joke....
This debate could go on forever, but I'll participate, cause I know I'm right.
Most of the folks who bash Macs have never used them, or are afraid of learning anything new. Or they are "gamers" or afraid of conforming to some "hip" trend they are too cool for. in reality, it's just a superior machine, nothing else.
