I just found out that a housing inspector is going to be stopping by later this week to check the smoke alarms. My landlord's maintenance guy is going to stop by the day before to make sure they're all working.
I've got a couple of plants in their 12/12 cycle in my closet. I'm going to have to unplug the lights for a few minutes each day while my unexpected guests are in my house. After they go dark, is it ok to plug my lights back in about 15-20 minutes later? Or is it better to just leave them off until the next morning? Is interrupting the light cycle for 2 days going to put a real hurting on my plants?
Interrupting the light cycle can really mess with your plants. Giving them more light (more than 12 hours) when in the flowering phase is worse than more dark hours. If you're only turning the light off for 15-20 mins for a couple days they should be fine though, I would not give them extra dark hours personally. I've had to do the same thing before, and my power also goes out a lot during storms for brief periods.
oh and I forgot you should of course never interrupt the dark hours when flowering
