So, music has dominated my life. Not in a "o, I listen to it all the time" kind of way, I was born into a musical family. My dad was a total hippie and played music all the time with his bluegrass band in the mid 70s to early 90s, and still diddles around now. My mom plays piano and sings like a bird. And I play violin and sing, I used to do shows in Greenville, Hartwell, and Charleston, but school has gotten in the way now where I cant do that anymore. Not to bore you with my life story, but even when I was little, id get an adrenaline rush from certain tunes, any kind of music. Thats one reason I love music so much, it breathes life into, well, life. And I love it when music gives you goosebumps and raises the hair on your neck. When it makes your heart skip beats and makes you feel like screaming in joy, or laugh. I love it when you are driving down the road, or highway, and the sun is setting behind you (or in front) and that perfect song hits with that perfect chord, and you get chills. Like everything that led up to that second was all pulled together and made to make sense by that one note. Its an incredible, joyful feeling, sober or blazed. Just wanted to share that special feeling with yall.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I completely understand what you're sayin, music is like my soul. Without it I have no idea what I'd do. I wish I had the drive to teach myself how to play an instrument but all I know how to do it make music electronically. Although, I'm not bad at it and if I push myself I could easily become a DJ. That's kinda my goal though. Music IS life and without it we would all be nothin but soulless zombies.

Hell yeah.... My life would be empty without music.. As would many others.. Couldn't imagine life without it, not even for a day.

I can remember several times when music just pulled everything together. Once I was in Florence visiting my old college, and I was driving through a really dark area, all field, no trees, no houses, and it was partly cloudy with a full moon. And I was listening to Dayvan Cowboy by Boards of Canada, and the second it transitioned to the guitar, the moon came out from behind a cloud, which illuminated everything. It was pretty unbelievable.

Agreed. I started to learn violin at six, even though it was by choice. You should totally go for being a DJ. Its never too late

Exactly! I really dont know much about breaking into that area of music, but start small. Clubs usually have people you can talk to about trying it out. They might see what you got and give you a chance to guest DJ a couple nights. Id get a demo put together and get out there!

This is the only reason I never finished learning guitar, there's some manson and an ozzy song that I heard that just makes me want to start learning it again...

I've always wanted to start learning to make electronic music but I really have no idea where to start. I've been putting it off because of that for months now, any suggestions?
