I currently have my budding room set to a twelve hour cycle from 9:30a to 9:30p, and my veg room on 24/7. I recently upgraded my lighting system, from a 400 watt HPS to a 1000 watt HPS, and moved the 400 watt ballast to the veg room and put a MH bulb in it. The problem is, at night when I have the vegg room on but closed up, it gets too hot in there (94* F). I'd like to put that one on an 18/6 schedule, so it can be off most of the night. When I do this, I'd like to change the budding rooms schedule, too, so that the budding room is on from 6am to 6pm, and the vegging room goes off at midnight and back on at 6am. How can I adjust the budding light without light-shocking the ladies I have in there now? I basically want to move it three and a half hours sooner.
If anything give them LESS light to get them on the schedule you want. More light will stress them worse then more darkness. If it were me I would let it come on tomorrow at 9:30am as usual and then change the timer to 6am-6pm and let it go off tomorrow night at 6pm and back on the next morning at 6am and you're good to go.
