I support this and agree with a lot of what he said. I know that people will think there are more practical venues of global 'betterment' but if we think linearly, we will never cover enough ground to 'outrun our self-created demise.' We are consistently creating new problems and discovering others as we strive for solutions in health and technology. Sorry for the unorthodox choice of descriptions, it's been a long day. I am glad intelligent and Wise people are taking it upon themselves to explore the potentials here. If I wasn't broke and in college I would do more to show my support, but I gotta have my ducks in a row, ya know.

Yes, great post and I think if you or anyone updates us on what's going with MAPS from time to time, it'll greatly improve the quality of this forum, in my opinion. Oh and I whole wholeheartedly believe heady discussions about these topics will be a great +1 for the growery.
Also, you forgot to post part 2:
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
