Is this game worth downloading? I've been playing Starcraft for more than 11 years already and I think it's time to move on to a new different game (not Starcraft 2). I want to give this game a try, do any of you guys play it? Is it worth the time?

I used to play it. Until it stopped running for some reason. the only reason I heard/played it was because my friend got me into it after he moved. I have a handful of friends who want me to re download it. From what I hear I understand the graphics got significantly better.
Overall I'd say it's worth a download. I've never played Starcraft but Ive played Warcraft 3 (if that is any similar, idk) and I'd say it's pretty good.

It holds my water admirably, sometimes even reflecting the sun in beautiful patterns. If I should tap it, it has a lovely ring to it. But when I put this glass bong on the shelf and the wind knocks it over or my elbow brushes it off the table and it falls to the ground and shatters, I say, ‘Of course.’ When I understand that the glass is already broken, every moment with it is precious.”[/quote]

I haven't gave it a go yet mainly because I still play Dota from time to time.

I play LoL fairly regularly. Definitely worth it.
One of my only complaints about it would be that every time they release a new hero they make them stupidly OP so people will buy them, but they usually get nerfed within a week or two.

Ohh I see. Yeah my friend has been telling me that you can buy heroes...and I really don't like that because for those who don't choose to pay, they have a disadvantage already. I already played the tutorial as Ashe, and I admit it does look fun, but omg it's gonna take a while for me to get used to @_@

You earn points from playing games that you can use to unlock heroes. So you don't have to pay real money for it, but if you want to you can. And yeah, it'll take a while to get used to gameplay, especially when you're going up against other players online. Expect to get your shit rolled for a while.

That's why I never liked DoTA back in the day, I would always try to play and get owned on, and everyone would get all pissed.
It's like shit nigga, I don't know how to play, help me stay alive instead of being a craggot about it.

Yeah, most of the people who are awesome at it take the game way too seriously and get pissed off whenever things don't go perfectly. While you're learning the game it's best to play really conservatively and don't get too caught up in trying to attack enemy champions. Once you've played for long enough you'll grow to understand the dynamics of the game more, which adds to the awesomeness of it. The learning curve is a bitch, but once you get good handling a champ or two things are pretty sweet.

Getting a full set of runes teir three is going to cost out your ass by the way.
Right now I need 6000 ip just to get 3 quintessence runes; and those are just for tanks and carry champions.
Other people are going to read this thread and facepalm.
As I said in the other thread though; feel free to add me anyone that plays it. The other thread is under similar threads.
Once you hit lvl 20 I'll play with you, or if you already are I will.
I tend to play tanks/support champions because nobody else ever wants to.

At least decent as long as you understand warding and last hitting.
Actually; as long as you understand warding and last hitting you are better than 75% of players at least, even at level 30.
However it is a bitch to get to level 30, and even more of a bitch to get all the champions, runes, and to move up in elo (rank) right when you start playing ranked. However I've yet to play ranked, but I hear people talking about elo hell all the time.

Get on that shit, man. You might be a little clunky at first but the developers loved DoTA a lot so they've tried to do it justice.
And I'm lvl 25 or 26 now, I don't remember. I tank a lot. It's a very loveless way to game. Everyone bitches at the tank whenever things don't go well.

Weeeeell, to be a nitpicker some of the developers are some of the creators of DoTA Allstars, some are from blizzards, maybe another company too.
I smell a growery clan forming; time to stomp the ESL international tourny at dreamhack with a 100,000 dollar prize?
Good news, you don't have to worry about having a bad ranking. Season I should be ending within a fairly short time frame and will have some form of reset.
