It's cool that you're first time on it was an actually MDMA powder capsule. That's such a better high then some bombs. I wish I could have had it like that my first time. I wanna roll now... I haven't rolled since the Diesel Boy and Skrillex show a couple months ago.

mainly as theyve related to him and his painting. talking about his ayahuasca trips and his first time tripping with his wife. stories which i had heard last year at the maps conference. He talked a lot about tool, which we were really thrilled with. my buddies got a tool tat on his neck. He met alex and got his ticket signed and a picture and all that. pretty neat experience. He also mentioned maps and how we have to change the drug laws. Most of the first night he talked about CoSM. He kind of book ended his presentation the second night with cosm talk too. but im really trying to think hard about exactly what he said about psychedelics and im having a hard time.
I didn't even mention all the synchronistic events that took place this weekend. it started with me at the airport. I was waiting for the plane and all of a sudden it hit me, I forgot the tickets to teh show at my apartment. So i started freaking out. THEN I looked up from what i was doing on my phone and see three of my coworkers get off the same plane I am just about to get on. I get up and start talking to them about where i was headed and where they'd been. One of them offers to go to my apartment and get the tickets and overnight them to me. But due to the state of my apartment (just having a bunch of non professional shit here) i couldn't let him do it. Later at the airport my buddy got pulled over and happened to see alex grey walking into the airport. He rang up the two that he had just dropped off and told them about it and they saw him and met him and his wife too!

I love a lot of the lyrics, one of my friends is really into them, but the head banging thing isn't my favorite style.

oh man, the beauty of the band tool lies within the interpretation and the use. By that i mean that almost all their lyrics kind of mean something different to everyone. We all have different interpretations of the songs. But more importantly the music is used as a tool to get over something in your life, or to move on from a troubling experience. To accept it and move on. THat's what a lot of the songs are about. Their song Third Eye, to me, is just like a psychedelic experience. It's a whirlwind roller coaster ride that you don't know the direction of. It's a crazy song. Check it out....
this was the first time they ever played the song live.
having seen them 16 times, they don't perform like that any more. Which is to be expected with a bunch of old farts.  but damn that is some good shit! They are all really great musicians. MJK's voice speaks for itself and danny is a god damn beast with the drums. it takes some serious skill (imo) to be able to play coherently with both hands and both feet at the same time. You try to keep four different rhythms going at the same time, not just that, but to make them all sound beautiful together. it's a thing of beauty to witness.

Oh god, tool is fucking amazing. Just got a tool shirt. Maynard James Keenan has the voice of a god. I could listen to him forever. And fractal listen to there most recent album, it's not as "head banging" as the other ones IMO.

yeah, that show was epic. I wish i would have went there. Somewhere during that show he says, "In ten years no one will believe you were at this show."
