 Can someone teach me the physics of baseball?

So say someone pitches a fastball 95 mph and then another player pulls a fast grounder down their baseline, doesn't matter if its 3rd or 1st. What else (beside pitch speed) if any would I need? and what formulas would I also need? I ask because I was watching some baseball stoned (awesome btw  ) and I was wondering how much it would hurt to get hit by a grounder while knocking it down to make the play. I mean I've been playing baseball for awhile but only at like the vaa levels. (Idk does anywhere else have VAA?) But was wondering what it'd be like by a pro one, ya know? This might be a HB question?
(Alright I guess this could go in the sports bar too but it will get more traffic here. Modsyou can go ahead and move it there once it gets answered, thanks  )

too many variables for me to figure out right now
like bat weight, length, contact point, speed, speed of the ball, ball weight, and im sure a few other ones too, im no physicist

Try it out Happy Gilmore style. Go to the batting cages, set that shit on "fast" and take one for science.
