i believe it is to sanitize the solution and prevent stuff like algy from forming ,i dont use it but i think that is what i had read ,

I believe the grow bible says you need to use 35% hydrogen peroxide. It helps deliver oxygen to the roots. It is good for sick plants. it kills fungus. helps nurture over watered plants. some people use it regularly.

You DON'T want to use 35% H2O2 straight on the roots! Try putting a couple drops of it on your hand and see what happens, then tell me if you think your plants will enjoy the experience.
Ps. Don't actually put a couple drops on your hand. I still have scars from the first time I spilled it on myself.

it says to mix it in the water with the nutrients. I cant remember how much it said to use. The stuff under 35% has too much unnatural stuff. not good for the plant. I dont know why, thats just what the grow bible says. there is a brief overview on page 386 i believe. I happened to read it yesterday.

I really like H2O2 for treating root rot and increasing root zone oxygen levels, but it has to be used in the right percentages.

some people use it weekly. there is a section about it on this web site in the cannabis growing guide under the plant food and nutrient section

What percentage do you use it at in a res? I've used 8% before to "clean up" the media I keep some of my more boggy plants in (gets algae, mold, etc growing from being constantly wet) by doing weekly flushes with it. But do you think that would be too high for continuous immersion of the roots?
