Yeah, the Lakers aren't the team they were a year ago. They're still pretty good though. They're talking about picking up Carmelo now. I think at one point that dude was rumored to go to every team in the league. It would be crazy if he went to the Lakers. You got James, Bosh, and Wade in Miami and Anthony and Bryant in LA. That could definitely make for some good Finals over the next few years. The Bulls and Thunder are definitely some good young teams though for sure.

I dont see Melo in LA. LA doesnt have anything to give up. The Nuggets want Bynum and the owners son, who played a big role in drafting Bynum, thinks he is the future of the franchise as Kobe gets old. So the LA talk was just that, talk.
But I think the Knicks are the real candidate.
A team who hasnt been mentioned who I would like to throw in is the Dallas Mavericks. Mark Cuban is always trying to be on the cutting edge and make big deals that make his team not only the center of attention, but also better overall.
Kidd, Melo, Dirk, and some of the other pieces Dallas has could make them the favorite in the West if they have s) the cap room and b) something the Nugs would take in return

FBD- people give him shit because hes a piece of shit, drama queen. He waited to make his "decision," until the very end of free agency after all the other big players had signed, leaving the Cavaliers no options to replace him. That and LeBron didnt even have the respect to notify the front office of the Cavs of his decision before leaving. Least he could have done is prepp'd ownership for the change. LeBron is and always will be a piece of shit. I wish him nothing but the worse
Aren't you from arizona though?

Well Melo is now a Knick in a move that sends Billups to New York with him and moves Gallanari, Fields, and Chandler to the Nugs.
And the Nets make a move of their own bringing in Derron Williams for Derrik Favors, Devin Harris, and 2 first round picks
Cant wait to get my Melo jersey.
I just hope the Knicks find a way to sign CP3 in the offseason

lakers 3peat all the way.....lakers n bulls in finals... lakers 3peat...and i dont see how u say the lakers arent as good as they where last year, in my eyes there better, they rely on kobe even less now, which is big ups....bynum is healthy, artest is recreated ron ron playen wicked D, i just dont see any other team beating them yet....these guys (lakers) turn it on n off like a switch, when its playoff time they aint gon be fuken around

Might as well root for the Nuggest since the Rockets underachieved again this year. Yao is done for.
I want to see the Bulls or Oklahoma City win it all

Pretty much. He gets hurt every year, somehow ends up playing for China in the Olympics, comes back to the US and gets hurt again. Just the punishment on your legs of being that freakishly tall I guess. The guy is a monster. That's why I give Shaq props. Sure he is having health issues now but he is fucking old now. Shaq dominated and stayed healthy while weighing 325lbs.
Yao was talking about retiring but I think Houston talked him out of it. Who knows if he'll ever play again
At least he isnt as big of a bust as Greg Oden

Yeah, I forget who else was in that years draft in the top several picks but if they would have taken anyone but oden they might be one of the best teams in the West. They are already a contender

Rose is my vote for MVP especially if Orlando loses to the Hawks in the opening round (currently down 2-1)
2nd place would be either Kevin Durrant, LeBron James, or possibly Dwight Howard despite them possibly going down in the opening round.
Cant believe the Celts lead the Knicks 3-0. I was expecting that to be a tight series and possibly even an upset.
I just keep praying someone will matchup against the Heat and knock them out. Boston probably having the best chance, followed by Orlando and Chicago in the East.

I'm going to have to disagree with both of you on the Rose account. Great player, most definitely, MVP no.
They have player impact stats for each player, The bulls with Rose on the court are only like +6 points. The heat with Lebron on the court are like around +11. So most of the load on Rose? Nope, the bulls have a solid starting line even though they don't have names like Bosh Wade and James. Ultimately I think whomever wins the 'ship will also play a big factor into the MVP decision, but IMO it won't be rose.
And PS picklez I think you'll get your wish, I'm thinking Boston gonna take them heat out, esp after they lost the sixers tonight and couldn't even sweep haha.
