INVERTED'S OUTDOOR DANK BAGSEED GROW 08' - 24 PLANTSHey guys this year I have got 20 seedlings at one week. I'm going to keep a daily/weekly update of my entire grow this year outdoors. It's June 9th (a little late I know but its gonna work?) and I have 30 more started in the paper towels, Have holes dug in the ground just need soil and time...heh So here is where I'm at, I'll post pics as the days pass. I'm hoping you will be interested and I'd love to hear comments and/or answer questions you may have. You guys think i'll have enough veg time before flowering kicks in right? any idea what date that may be? I am northern midwest. This is 1 of 20 I didnt want to take pics of all of em Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 30 Additional How do they look for 4 days? <!--gradient:#00FF15,#2600FF//-->EDIT: Most Recent Picture (September 8th, Day 94 - 22 Days flowering)[/gradient]

no offence but the soil looks questionable... - how about a little more information on what you are growing? - "You guys think i'll have enough veg time before flowering kicks in right? any idea what date that may be? I am northern midwest. " -- http://www.sunrisesunset.com/ I am assuming this is going to be an outdoor grow.

sorry that soil IS questionable, but that is just one of my 50 babies, 3 are at a different location with less than preferable materials, the other 47 are in good draining medium, thanks for your concern

Hey another daily update, sorry if I'm boring you but this is merely a daily log of my grow so I can monitor my progress and hopefully bring some of you along for the ride and help me with your comments!
Today I got to check my babies, they havent recieved barely any sunshine so they are stretching like no other! Im going to have to bury the stems when I transplant, they are a week old and are dying for some direct sunlight. All 19 are 1 strain. A very potent one but its un-named. I germ'd 30 more (5 dif. strains) yesterday and have to put them into soil tomorrow.
Check out the triploid i'm calling it!!!

Looking good! They need more light, but you know that. Bury the stem when you transplant them sure works for a little stretch!.
Good luck and keep us updated!

Its definitely a mutant, but I wouldn't call it a triploid. Triploid refers to a plant with three sets of chromosomes (I don't even think it occurs naturally). When a plant generates three sets of leaves per stem or three branches per node its known as having "whorled phyllotaxy". Having leaves in sets of threes is also known as "trifoliate". This mutation is rare, but occurs often enough in the growing community as a whole.
Of course, its real name isn't anywhere near as simple as saying "triploid", but I wouldn't recommend calling it a triploid because its not.

Haha, its funny that you made up a name that was already taken. What ever you want to call it, I am excited to see what it will look like. Sirius, do you know if it will yield more because it has three leaves? Keep us updated and good luck with the lightning and such.

Quick update, they are at 2 weeks now, I had some trouble with this batch but the next wave will be smooth sailing, I acidentally fert-burned them a little bit but flushed the soil and hopefully they look a little better in a couple days, but any day now they will be ready for their final plots outside... yay I can't fuckin wait!

They seem a little too stretched to me... What kind of light are they germinating under and how far away from the seedlings is it?

Well if you look closely half of them are stretched and the other half are bushier, look at the pic I just posted of the 2 week old beauty in the sun...look stretched to you? Didn't think so. Heh. The other half was germinated then grown outdoors for a week but we saw 1 day of okay sunlight at the best and the rest of the week was storms so thats where the stretching came from.
I'm happy to report they have ceased vertical growth since I moved them indoors and have almost doubled the amount of veg. growth such as leaves and thickness of the stems. They have hardened and become very stable under their own weight due to a quite strong breeze for 12 hours a day from a nice fan. 75% are beginning their 5 lamina leaves so I think that is fairly decent for 2 weeks considering I had a half assed start this year...

I really rescued all the stretched babes. A nice breeze fattened them up and they are starting to burst into a growth spurt real nicely and plan to put them into their final plots in 7-10 days so I know they are hearty before they take the outdoor plunge!!! I have 30 seedlings and am hoping to yield 2 lbs. this year... Maybe I'm just thinking way to positively... But I have been busting my ass digging nice holes so I can actually achieve this.

Okay yeah....Not going to do that! I've been reading around on cannabis for a more than a few years now and never once have I heard a whisper about that so no sugar for me...Seems like I'm doing fine without! These babies have really started using their solar panels and are starting to take off, the 7 lamina set is peeking out and im approximately at 3 weeks now and am starting to see some significant growth each day. I'm excited to get some more pics up for you guys tonight after I do my transplanting. About half are 3 weeks old and the other 15 or so are around a week and kicking ass as well...I can't wait for the weeks to fly by!!!

no man
plants use sugars to grow, this is what they produce in photosynthesis
also, sugar helps bacteria that breaks down soil, so that's a plus if you want nitrogen and such, just don't use too much

Hey guys, sorry for the late update! My babies aren't really babies anymore. Half are 4-5 weeks old and doing excellent, and have been moved outdoors to soak up the extra wattage and are booming with growth, the other half are still inside and are excelling better than the first group, they are half the age and have almost caught up in growth due to excellent soil used for that batch. I'LL HAVE PICS FOR YOU TOMORROW AFTER TRANSPLANTING!!!

You guys are going to be suprised when I bust out the new pics. I've really managed to turn this grow around after my grow partner has not been around to help me so much. They aren't growing vertically anymore really and most plants are only a few inches tall with 3-4 nodes already which isnt my best result but ok enough for me nonetheless. I have yet to transplant or see my older set of kids since i put them under the sun 5 days ago. So as soon as I do that I can show you the best ones. As for now I have a couple pics of the younger batch from three days ago, nothing special. They have at least doubled in size since the pictures were taken and added a node or two, for some reason I really let the soil dry out and they literally exploded with growth!? Go figure...Maybe the roots were starved for oxygen...

Day 23 Update!!!
Hey all. Finally got an update for you w/ pics! Sorry they are just cell phone pics but its the best I could do. My high ass forgot to grab the camera and the nutes... But tomorrow i'll get some better pics and post them for you but look at the growth difference in 1 week or less of them being in the sun, its incredible compared to an 80W flouro light... The new pots are gonna let them explode, they were quite rootbound and thirsting for more soil. They are 23 days or 3 weeks and 2 days old. Think I'm on par for a nice harvest? I think we still have 30 more days or so until they start flowering. I believe that will be enough time for some serious branching before they bear fruits! Maybe thats just me though I've only done this a few times.
I know they are a little stretched but they get 4 and a half hours a day of sunlight for now and are hardening but in two weeks at the final plot they will get 8+ hours a day. Tell me what you think!
Nice job so far?!

Hey guys what happened? People lose interest in my grow already!? Cuz they are taking off pretty fast and its a very exciting time. I can't wait for a few days to go by to see the difference, I gave them like 50X more root space than they previously had. I also gave them their second dose of nutrients (First full strenght feeding) and a light feeding of root stimulator to excite them into the new soil they have been craving. I see bushes in my future...
Heres a couple pics of my last grow, I lost most of the pics but here is a bagseed, Strawberry Cough and some sort of purple strain. I also grew C99 and Bubbleberry x Bubblegum (Hubba Bubba). They all came out super dank I wish I still had my budshots! Oh well you get the idea.
Strawberry Cough (yielded around 2.5 Ounces)
Bagseed Plant (smallest besides purple midget - 1.5 Oz)
Purple Bagseed Strain (flowered at 5-6 inches! - 3/8 Oz)

Thanks! I'm following yours quite closely. I'd say right now they get about 5-6 hours of direct sunlight but they are just in the yard. When I put them out in the field into the ground they will receive around 8 solid hours or more... is that enough?!?! I love outdoors too!

No I'm from the North Star State! but good guess... Minnesota is where its at my friends...we have a little bit of everything here...And a damn good growing climate I might add.
Anyways finally got some high resolution photos compared to the cell phone shit...
I transplanted and seem to have overwatered? I don't believe they got shocked at all because the root balls stayed perfect during the transplant 100% so I think I just soaked them too much after I got them in the new soil, no bid deal though right?
There are 16 here and I have another 11 coming outside tomorrow to face the Sun! Looks like its gonna be a good year after all...
Notice the "Raccoon Topper" in the back, fucker took my growth tip!

Well they seem to be taking the transplant great and have started to burst into rapid growth, they were in 8 oz cups and now are in 1-3 gallon pots which will allow them to really branch out until I can afford the soil that will fill the holes in the ground... I finished transplanting the final 10 which brings the total up to 26! I've never grown more than 5-6 plants at a time before so I'm really hoping to yield a good amount this year (2 lbs.)???
Questions or Comments please!

Yes that flowered all the way through, that was 2 years ago, I didnt grow last year due to theft of my plants... Unfortunately I was broke and saw an opportunity to get high and smoked at as soon as it was dried, never got to let it cure, but it was excellent smoke nonetheless. I used almost all bagseeds in my previous grows as with the current one and seem to get a mixed bag of usually very good buds. The purples were definately my favorite though, and with bright pink pistils in the middle of flowering it was a sight to see!

They seem to be reacting well to the root stimulator as well as the large dose of organic nutes I gave them. I didnt get to see them for a few days and they are shooting towards the sky. They really need to be in the final resting spot so they get double the direct sunlight per day.
The secondary branches are finally starting to grow, i've never had it take this long for them to develop but to each strain its own...

Thanks for the interest MFDoom! How old are you by the way, it seems that we have the same interests...
Can anyone tell me approx. how long it will take to start developing the actual flowers after I've seen the preflowers or is that light-schedule based, and the preflowers are maturity based?
They aren't even alternating nodes yet and already showing preflowers with secondary branching just beginning...seems odd to me I never remember seeing preflowers this early in the season before. They are about 32 days old from seed.

Thanks man, I don't know if i've mentioned it but im 23 this friday... Anyways I really hope I yield some good weight this year (high end goal - 2lbs.) So I can smoke for free until next season.
If the seeds I used for 90% of my plants (all the larger ones) came from extremely high quality nuggets ($60 an 1/8), is there a pretty good chance the plants I harvest will bare the same type of herb? Quality wise? Because they came from bud I definately would be proud to harvest!
I am assuming these are good genetics because they have a very high rate of growth and everything about them seems so uniform compared to bagseeds i've grown before. They resemble the plants I grew years ago that were from a breeder (Stawberry Cough), but they came out of many bags of dank I bought just for the seeds (3-4 per 1/8) and they are all one strain, except for the smaller girls I got. I have some extremely Indica ladies and 1 little sativa!
So basically I want to know if they will be of equal dankage compared to the bud I smoked to get these seeds!?
This was my Strawberry Cough (almost maroon tint of the plant around harvest time)

Happy Birthday to ME!!!
My friend has a steady Gravity hook and found 2 beans in his bag and he knew I wanted them so he gave them to me and I germinated them and put them into soil tonight!
I set up a nice plot not too far from my house for them so I can put them out when they show their faces even though they only have 2-4 weeks of veg before flower begins, the 1/2 oz or so I get from them will be frosty!
Computibator FTW!!!

So these plants range from 1 foot tall to 2 feet tall and they are near 40 days old... There are a couple hybrids in there but mostly pure indicas (based on the fat ass leaves) and I was wondering about how tall I might expect them to get with nearly unlimited root space (dug huge 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 foot holes in the ground) by the end of the year.
They also have about 20 more days of veg before the flowering stretch so maybe in the range of 4 - 6 footers? Maybe taller?

Ok so I don't know what the funk is going on here but so far my largest plants are ALL FEMALE! What the hell is up with that, there is one questionable one but its too early but 13+ are definately shooting hairs out!!!
They are all about 2 feet tall a couple even taller than that and still have a few weeks left before flowering! I'm gonna have so much weed this year i've never done this well before...
This strain has performed unbelievably in the provided conditions! I almost wish I had a male so that i could pollinate some branches because these seem to be an early flowering strain, and I have a 13-14 CONFIRMED FEMALES SO FAR!!!
BTW these are pics of FEMALES ONLY....HAHA!
One that has been Topped...

Thanks guys I'm really priding myself on this grow!!! It's by far the largest and healthiest crops I've ever had. I only have 1 plant so far that is quesionable that is probably a male. The rest FEMALES.
M.Faust said:

No they don't really look like balls, they are more of a spike looking pear shape, and have a white hair protruding from the pointy end of the spike. Dont confuse the spikes with the STIPULES which are at every node directly on the main stem. The Calyx and Stigma grow inbetween the Stipule and the Secondary Branch...
As seen on the right side in this picture

Umm not really but I've kinda been walking side by side with m.faust trying to see how each of us is doing... I like to have someone else at the same stage of growth so I can pick out variations in eachothers strain/phenotype/general techniques... I don't think its really that cute...or do I?

Just another shot of them today, Should be sunny again tomorrow hopefully, they need the sun.
It seems like they are starting to stretch...Could this be an indicator that flowering is going to begin soon?

I really have a feeling they are on the verge of switching over to flowering, I don't remember it beginning this soon in previous years but the tomatoes are all producing as well and they seem to be closely related... My light schedule right now is 14.25 Hours of sun to 9.75 hours of dark, don't they start flowering around 13 hours?
The preflowers that I noticed 12 days ago have gotten much larger and they all have nice big white hairs at just about every node. Still have yet to discover a male?!?!
They are stretching like hell right now and the secondary branching has progressed very well, most branches around 3 inches others are larger. Should make for a very high yield this year boys!
So do you guys think these will end up being pretty big plants by the end of flowering (they are all 1.5 - 2.5 feet tall)???????? I'm worried about my yield....

well if they're stretching like that and getting hairy at the nodes they're definitely flowering. They should end up double to triple the size they are now by the end of flowering, depending on the indica/sativa ratio of the strain. judging by your leaves I'd say closer to double in size.

Well I'm fucking beat from all the work me and Lucid did today, we finally got around to getting them outta those dinky pots and they were rootbound to say the least. We got a nice topsoil/peat/sand mix going it is really light and loose, also holds water well around this time of year.
So we took our 5 largest ladies (all over 2 feet and getting bushy)... And we put them in approx. 5-6 Cubic Feet of our soil mix in the holes we dug in the ground. We also put up a perimeter fence around the area and brought the other 17 ladies over to join the garden on the hill.
In this new location they get an additional 3 hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon, as well as 20-30 gallons of Dank ass Soil to root into! So the bud production and bushiness should be intense on these plants in the coming weeks...
The next biggest 5-8 will have holes dug and filled and transplanted by tomorrow afternoon. I'll have to take pics of the new garden for you, they are growing beyond my expectations...

I'm sure the hard work will pay off exponentially. That wild harem of females you have going on will really love you for giving their roots a lot more space to grow. That and the extra sun should really provoke some great growth. We just spent quite a long time flushing coco and transplanting last night, long grueling work, but it'll definitely pay off as well, the roots were everywhere underneath the cubes, begging to explore more. I'll update soon on that; can't wait to see your guys' new garden!

Holy Christ that day of work sucked, Checked on the plants after being in the ground 24 hours and all plants are untouched with the perimeter unbreached. We still need to dig 14 additional holes for the remaining plants, And it is going to suck the biggest pair of cum filled balls EVER. that is, if Inverted will wake up or pull his cock out of that vagina and get the fuck over here maybe we could grow some fucking weed!

Okay so we're still in the process of getting the rest of them in the ground... We got the biggest ones the first day, the next biggest today and tomorrow or the next day we will put the final 8 in the ground. They don't require quite as much rootspace so medium sized holes will do for them.
These things are going to explode now that they have basically unlimited root space...even the big ones that have only been in the ground for 3 days now are much happier looking and slightly larger already...
Pics of the garden... P.S. not all of them were in the holes when I took the pictures, that was before we started working today.
4 tops on this one...
They are starting to get pretty big (these are about 2 1/2 feet)

You and me both brother.... Yes I do actually it came from bud I consistently bought for a month that sparsely had seeds in it. I would pay $60 an 8th for it and i'm growing it with the utmost care and attention to detail so I am sure that it will turn out to be of the highest quality...

yes thats true! i got a couple seeds that i got from some nug which was 60USD an 1/8th planted a few with my top 44 and they seem to be doing okay. but you cant get dro unless you have a setup for hydroponics. The better the bud the better the seed, means that that grower took the time and had the right genetics meaning you should have something similar or better than what you smoked!!
Most nugs and hydro id say 80% come from inside the states the other come from B.C. which is mostly indica stains. swag comes from Mexico and up that way so mostly sativa stains that many us growers cant do because of the weather here. some hash if you can find it comes from Africa and the middle east maybe turkey if your lucky! i had some i bought back when i went to the UK but it was just soap bar the the IRA more than likely made.

Oh believe me topping is definately not necessary. I notice minimal yield differences on the topped or natural plants. I think it just gives them more surface area to do their thing...

IMO. topping allows for a more even canopy and gives you a better yield if you consider the amount of top buds replacing pop corn buds.

We got a nice little perimeter set up and I haven't noticed any signs of animals in the area, we are using Fox and Coyote urine along with the fence so I think we have a pretty good security system in place....next is the spy cam...

I see where you are going with this....Have you ever grown in the great Outdoors!? You do realize the light source (The Sun) moves throughout the sky, allowing all leaves on the plant to get hit with direct sunlight at some point throughout the day. The popcorn buds theory doesn't really apply to me, i've never gotten more than 5-10% of the weight come from fluffy buds. Usually all nice big colas, along with many 1-4 gram buds even along the main stem where light penetration is a problem.
A canopy is important indoors when the lightsource does not move and is centered above the plants, with rays coming in from angles and not all from above like the sun would be, and it moves.
You see what i'm getting at? The sun penetrates even into the inner budsites outdoors because in the morning it may be blocked by a fan leaf etc... but throughout the 8 hours of direct sun, it's gonna be exposed to some direct sunlight almost guranteed... I'm having trouble helping you visualize this i'm pretty baked and tend to ramble...
Edit: BTW with the plants becoming a christmas tree shape, there isn't really a canopy, and since we let our plants stretch a little bit at the beginning of veg. there is plenty of room between each branch/node to let light in, much like a Sativa plant would but it's actually just a stretched pure Indica that looks kinda lanky.
And one last thing... Considering everyone seems to hate on "popcorn buds" In the past, the crystaliest nuggets on every one of my plants were the popcorn buds right next to the main stem, from the bottom to 3/4 of the way up the plant, protected from the elements outside by all the Fan Leaves that block them. So popcorn buds are something I want not something to avoid.... Just trying to fill you guys in on what/how I like to grow!

I'll let the pics speak for me... They've grown 6 inches in the first week since they were transplanted into the ground! Now my hopes of a good yield are actually rising. I mean with 10 females around 2 - 3 Feet, and another 12 from 1.5 - 2 Feet, I'm guessing to yield at least 2 Pounds. Possibly up to 4 if they keep exploding...hehe
P.S. It got so hot and a couple of the potted plants dried up so much in just 2 days that they are wilted and yellowing on the bottom, I gave them and the rest of the ladies a nice drink and feeding of 15-30-15 nutes. They should be perked up by the afternoon tomorrow I would think.

I finally got my Gravity seedlings going! yay! For about 2 weeks or less they only had the Coteleydon leaves and the first true sets of leaves... I gave them the new nutrients I bought them (10-15-10 Liquid W/ Micronutes) And within ONLY 2 Days, This is what they have become! It's such good shit!
What do you think? I know it's only going to yield like 5 grams but hey, I know that it came from the dankest bud I've ever gotten seeds out of so I'm willing to harvest the least amount possible from these couple girls. For now I have them under 30 Watt CFL's and am thinking about starting them on a 13/11 light schedule to induce flowering for a couple weeks then put them outside to finish.
My other option is to keep them on 24 hours until my other plants are fully flowering then put it outside so it gets a little bit longer to veg before it flowers out.
P.S. Only 1 of my plants is fully into flowering, with a noticable gathering of stigmas/calyx's at the top of one of my potted plants that is going in the ground tomorrow, hopefully it is still a good choice rather than flowering it rootbound in the pot....

Here are some more pics of a few different ladies at the garden plot. Also my super bushy topped plant and the little Gravity seedlings, that are separate from the garden, along with a list of how many of what I have going!
I have 10 plants that are either at this point or larger
10 More that are this Large!
And a few smaller ladies around 1 foot (not pic-worthy)
Here's some more of the SEXY GIRLS!
Top to one of the nice Bushes (yes they are finally bushing out!)
Yet another gorgeous top...
2 Gravity Seedlings (Super Dank)
This plant was down to 2 FAN LEAVES at one point due to a terrible Aphid infestation that I took care of... Looks like topping made a crazy difference, this is BY FAR THE BUSHIEST PLANT!!!
I'm trying not to transplant this plant, Do you think I can flower this in this existing pot, it is 1 gallon full to the top, its not rootbound yet and is just beginning to flower...I've seen other people grow 6-7 footers in 4-5 gallons so I think i'm OK but what do you guys think? (1.5 Ft)

I personally wouldnt do it, because its still going to to want to stretch its feet out.. lol.. you "can" do it, but I would not recommend it.. for maximum salvation, you want to make sure they have plenty of room to grow... just because they just started flowering, doesnt mean that they wont keep growing another foot or so up.. which means the roots are going to need more space..

I know it would benefit from larger root space but I can't let this plant get much bigger in the first place, and I've seen so many people's grows out there where they have a couple gallons for 5-6 feet and it's guranteed to be rootbound, they just say you need to water/nute them more often (every day) because it is pure roots and sucks everything up so fast. But I think i'm just gonna transplant it anyways...

I'm smiling because when I checked on my babies tonight I noticed that the majority of them have just begun flowering, no groups of pistils yet but there are single pistils at every node basically and they are just forming at the top of the plant!
So here's a nice picture update!
BTW I tried to get a picture of every plant I have at this location. Sorry for the blurriness but I pretty much point and shoot when I don't want flashes all over the place at night... (there are only a couple plants shown more than once...heh so awesome.)
Tomorrow the rest of the potted plants go into their holes in the ground! We've already lost so much yield potential due to keeping them in those pots, they dry out instantly and dont hold nutrients, so they will ALL be in the ground as of 24 hours from now!!! Thank fucking god... sorry I'm high as hell

The downside to the tree method that I can think of is you have to fucking climb a tree to water them . But if you like tree and have opposable toes (I do ) then it'll be okay I guess. Good luck with it. Don't fall.

or you carry a jug of water and run a hose down from your plants and feed via handheld pump
to be extra elite you get a drill to crank the handheld pump

Or you plant in the ground so that watering and tending to the plants isn't such a bitch...
Updates for you guys soon, I'm getting very excited now that flowers will be forming by the next few visits...yay
I like this plant it's got a very sativa style going on, looks completely different from most of the rest... It lost many leaves due to us forgetting to water...stupid mistake...but it is doing fine from the looks of it?

well planting in trees has a lot of advantages.
more light more air circulation (lowers mold, insects) people will have a hard time stealing them they're less likely to spot
if you have a feeding tube and a drill watering is as easy as watering a plant in the ground.

I'm sorry but I live in a rural area and planting in the trees is equally as risky as in the wide open...Besides that I just love having infinite root space, In MN we have about 3 feet of topsoil (is all sediment from a glacial lake! full of nutes and very light) before seeing any clay so it is just beautiful to plant around here. they take to the untouched ground as if it were fluffy potting soil...I'm so lucky, but for many others that is not the case I guess.

I have a good sight like that Inverted... The house I bought 4 years ago used to be land of Scotts corporation... They strip mined all around me for the dirt and peat. I have a huge yard that was untouched from the mining so the only way I can kill any type of plant or tree is by not watering when it needs it! BLACK GOLD!!!! anybody wanna buy some dirt? LOL j/k

still is looking good inverted! may want to get that one into the ground tho i had some in a black plastic pot just like that and when they popped out the roots where growing around more roots! now there in the ground!
I'm more of a guy that likes hes soil based plants i have a grand looking garden with lots of veggies and corn, me myself i plant them with in the corn to disguise them. the tree method was an idea me and a buddy came up with awhile back readding cc mag hes got no place to do it that people will go to and find it and lives with his parents so cant do it there. i said shit may put em in a tree as i laughed next thing i know were at K&K getting supplies. WE used two big ass trash buckets balck ones drilled holes in one and the other we attached a big hose with a cut off switch and then placed it above it to let gravity do its thing. not very hard but i do like to get up off my ass and get things done oncce in awhile
Anyway good job boys kant wait for the results your plants are doing better than mine at flowering! its only now hitting enough hours to flower here pluss those deer( the plants are getting better!)

Here's 2 - 4 week old Gravity's that I started as a side project a month ago...How do they look? I think i'm in the running for at least a 1/4 - 1/2 Oz off of these sexy ladies, the bud the seeds came from was phenomenal so I'm sure these will turn out to be super heady!

The one on the left is looking female and the one on the right I'm unsure its too laggy and it got broken in half but it returned and is slightly behind. as you can see. I've had no males this year out of 25 plants so far though so I'm gonna guess it will be a male...?

First Nug shot of the year, unfortunately I haven't seen my monsters for 21 days since they started flowering because of my job but will go see them tomorrow and take pics, otherwise here is my first bud shot of the plant that was sprayed with round-up by a neighbor or someone else IDK but anyways it started to come back then started to flower and i'd guess is 2-3 weeks behind the beasts I have yet to see!!!

For now, because of how tired I am and need to go to bed to wake up, this is all I can say: Let the pics speak for themselves... They shot up so fucking fast in the last 2-3 weeks I can't believe my own eyes, they are now reaching near 7 feet tall...Never thought they would get this big this year but digging huge holes filled with dank soil was the ticket I swear that is the reason.... Never had plants grow so fast and large in 3 months Not to mention some of the buds are so resinous right now I have never seen that after 2-3 weeks of flowering before, usually around 4-5 weeks I start to notice but these are going to be some Grade A nugs man I'm not kidding you, some of the frostiest I've ever grown easily...
BTW I know how to take macro shots so don't hate on the blurry pics, I would have been able to show you some sticky icky trichome covered buds already but have dropped my cam one too many times and it's really hit and miss if it is willing to focus or not... I did manage one good one of my pink-pistiled biatch! Other than that you can just get a general idea of the size of the buds, they are all going at different rates due to the 20 different phenos I've got growing in my garden. I can't believe they all came from the same seedstock, some are sativa and some are indica and they all smell and look different and flower at different rates with different bud structures...amazing

I'll pretty much let the pictures speak for me, They reak of Lemon!!! I've never seen this much trichome production this early into flowering on any of my grows...I'm so excited to see the finished product. It's going to be so stinky and resinous its fucking amazing... Many of my plants are as tall as me or more, a couple almost 7 feet or more... I'm hoping for a good yield... Let me know what you think, my camera is like 6 years old so pics are sometimes blurry...
Okay sorry for so many pics but I'm just so damned excited about how perfect this grow has gone for me...They look so tasty, don't you think?

Don't worry guys and thank you so very much for the compliments it means so much to us. We've never done this well before and it is going to pay off nicely, I plan to smoke for a very long time and make a small lump of money. nothing special, but don't worry i'm a patient patty and will grow them basically until the weather tells me to chop em' down.
Some of the sativas will not finish but thats ok I didnt even know I had any sativa's until later on the skinny leaves started growing everywhere and they are only 2 weeks or so into flowering whereas others (heavy Indica) are 3-4 weeks in and only have another 4-5 left at the most. I'm so excited and proud at the same time...
You guys are just gonna have to wait a few more days because you won't notice the growth as much if I post pics every day. Not to mention since flowering begun we only received 1/4 sunny days, accompanied by heavy rains... not a good ratio but the next 7 days are supposed to be pure sunshine and mid to upper 70's with low humidity so the buds are going to take off my good friends... Then you will see more pictures...

September the 20th.... More dankness.... More pics....
Be sure to check out each one because some are sorta blurry and some are perfectly focused but be sure to check each one so that you get an idea of how different the plants really are... all mostly from the same 2 parents, at least almost all of the ones I take pics of...

Thanks to all of you I'm so stoked its all coming together just in time...
And to you Sirius - I do believe they will all finish in time, although not all at the same time... Some are merely a couple weeks away from harvest while the sativa's have about 5 more weeks or so, which is when I believe our growing season begins to end around here so I think I'll be OK... In case of an early frost, I don't really think cutting them a week early would be too bad, but I really want them all to finish completely because I've always been impatient in the past. Not this year...

/\ /\ Thats me and you for the next 10 months...
Something nibbled at a branch until it was hanging by a thread so me and Lucid decided it would be sacrificed for a tester nug. It's slightly premature but it would have fallen off and died anyhow... We are flash drying it so it will be ready to smoke tomorrow, will definately fill you in on how it is, even though it will be nothing like the finished product...

Ok guys... Harvest is coming on Friday and I gotta say I really don't think I'll be achieving what I had hoped for but either way I think its gonna be a lot of smoke... I'd say around a Pound...
I'll have a picture update either tomorrow or on the day of harvest which is going to be an amazing Friday... You will like what you see
Frost is coming and I don't really have a choice of whether or not to let them finish, while some are ready, sativa's are gonna be premature...maybe I can bring them in during the cold nights....hmm
BTW My 2 little gravity sprouts that I started exactly 2 months ago are full fledge flowering now and are going to get around an Oz per plant which is amazing considering their age and how big I originally planned for them to be, I thought they would each grab 1 or 2 8th's per plant but they grew so fast they are over 2 feet tall with many branches to pack on the nugs, and they grew extremely uniform, both plants are almost Identical...

Well we did it, 1/4 of the plants are trimmed, and some of them were just not ready but we couldn't risk the temps tonight, they would have died and they weren't growing anymore. It was like they were paused in their growth. They may be immature but they are still crystally as hell so it doesnt really matter, about 1/3 are really ready. I'd say we yielded about 1 1/2 Lbs but we will see! More trimming and pictures of harvest tomorrow!

As long as you check on plants everyday to make sure they are ok I dont get why you couldnt just let them go as long as they can. If they die in the cold big deal thats what happens when you chop a plant anyway the buds are not going to be harmed in a 24 hour period. Congrats on the pound and a half tho I wish mine were gonna yield that much.

No, that's not what happens when you just chop a plant. The only thing that happens to a plant when you chop it is that it no longer is capable of the uptake of additional water and nutrients. It isn't as though the plant is just "dead". Obviously, ceasing all water uptake into a plant is going to result in the plant's processes to begin stopping, but the buds don't actually get damaged. Frost damage is different, in that the water in the cells actually freeze, which causes them to rupture, and the buds actually do get damaged. Also, for the same reasons why freezing trimming and buds that are to be used in hash-making is a good idea, as it makes the trichomes more brittle and loosens them up, frost damage to buds is a bad idea, because you're going to lose THC, which is why the plant is smoked in the first place, because it is physically more prone to simply falling straight off the plant.
That's why frost damage is a "big deal". Inverted knows what he is doing; that's why he has that pound and a half in the first place.

You say that like I was attacking you or something I was merely asking a question. I've let outdoor plants go through 2 frosts before and they still had very little damage if any done to them, crystaly as fuck very potent and still got to finish not some stringy pre mautre bullshit. I could give a shit when you chop it tho have fun smoking premature weed with a weak stone;)

yes i wuld much rather smoke dense mature buds rather than stringy immature buds, ive let mine get hit with frost to get em tho and it almost seemed that they get a bit hardery. but sometimes its hard to tell if you should or shoudnt, this is what makes a grower a grower and a smoker a smoker.
But ive only done this 3 years with my outdoor plants, all i know is i grow buds to my preffence and nobody elses.
i would rather smoke a pound of mature ripe buds than a half a pound of pre mature bud.

He could of let his plants go all the way till they were done he just got to antsy and worried that his plants would die in the frost and harvested early. I almost did the exact same thing but I decided to let them go and see what happened, temps got down to 38 one night and were in the 40's for the rest of the week at night but my plants made it thru great and are still packing on weight. All that happened is they turned a little bit purple from the cold but the trichs are still all there getting and few if any heads were broken off.
