Hey how ya'll doin. This will be my grow log.
I'm going for an SOG
This first grow will be done From seed, but everyone after will be done by clone.
This is my first Independent grow
Every grow i've done so far has been with the supervision of my father.
He favors olds methods and Big Drip feed rockwool systems he thinks it is impossible to grow decent bud with out spending lots of cash first.
I'm going to show him my methods will produce bud the same quality as his for a fraction of the cost 
mom/clone room/veg
2x 65k 100 watt equivalent CFLS
1x 27k 40 watt equivalent CFLS
Flowering room
4x 65k 100 watt equivalent CFLS
2x 27k 40 watt equivalent CFLS
1x 27k 150 watt equivalent CFL
Walls are lined with foil (coulden't find mylar in my area)
passive hydro, soil less mixture 50% coir 50% perlite
seeds will be germ'ed then moved to jiffy tabs.
some early pics (buddy comeing with a saws-all tonight to cut out this shelf to give me another few feet of flowering space.

Anybody have any idea what i could use as a cheep and effective door?
Was thinking ply wood >_> but rather not to it if theirs something easier.

Do my eyes deceive me or is that foil shiny side out?
Looks like it to me like it's shiny side out.
The dull side of aluminum foil reflects light the shiny side absorbs light similar to a mirror.

 good luck.
i have always been told not to use foil because it will cause burn spots. so i guess i was mislead

No, you're not. Using foil is a fundamentally bad idea. You're much better off spending money a small can of flat, white, paint and using that instead of foil. Foil is a very poor reflective surface and causes hot spots as you mentioned.

ok thanks for the info. i was using cd's to reflect light for a while but they kept falling and i didnt want to hold a cd up until glue dries so i just rotate alot.

Agreed and indeed.
Flat white paint is much more reflective than aluminum foil..
Flat white paint is 85-93% reflective while aluminum foil is 70-75% reflective..
Using flat white paint is one of the most simplest and cost effective ways to gain optimal reflection..
You can pick up a can high quality flat white spray paint from your favorite home or wal store for under five dollars..
I understand being eager to grow you just grab anything with in arms length to get you going. That foil is better than that mirror, IMO and a can of flat white spray paint would be the best, however unless it is turned shiny side out. You have yet to get back about that..

but its allmost done, gonna get a few cans of spary paint tomorrow to finish her off...

Looks nice and bright in there now.
All I see is a bright glow now almost all the way down to the platform.
Except for in front of that friggen mirror. lol
