Best tip I could give you about the ez cloner is make sure you have a long enough stem to get down good in the spray, check the nozzles at least once a week (if not more) and make sure you're getting a nice spray out of them.
My friend bought one and never got it to work for him, but I don't think he was very patient with it. I kinda wanted to fool around with it myself but I just don't have the room for it.

Thanks to everyone.
Put 15 clones into the cloner tonight.
Can't wait to see what happens.

Change the water every other day and you don't have to do any of the other stuff on this page.

I read somewhere that you don't have to pH balance the water till roots are growing. Is that true?

I just change the water often and pretty much never worry about the ph in a ez-cloner.

Took Magash's advice about changing water. Did it every other day.Didn't pH balance. Day 7 an there are root stubs to be seen. Abt half the clones. Change water again tonight. Water temp's are running 80 to 85f.
This may take a few days longer than 10 days to get all the clones rooted and roots long enough to go into pots, so they will be in water.

Day 10
4 of the clones are showing good root growth. Two days, then will see how things are going. Hope to have good growth on most by day 14. Don't think all will make it. Some are looking like they need to eat.
Funny thing here the clones with the longest stems, like the instructions say, are doing the worst. Short stems seam to rule.
What is the BEST water temp for clones to grow in? Air temp's this summer will be 85 to 90f in that room. Right now it is 75 to 80f.

Your temps seem pretty good. Wanna run a little test? Pick a few that look like they won't make it and scrape a little skin off the side of the stem. That may help to create a area for roots to form. Now gels have hormones and crap for rooting but their main job is to burn the skin a little to create areas for roots to form. (according to the rep at the hydro store who was dropping off supplies while I was there one day. I tested this and had good results and the method is in most grow books)

I wonder what has to be/how much has to be peeled away to promote better root growth.
Jorge's book says the cambium but illustrates the cortex giving rise to new roots. If you had to scrape away the epidermis and cortex you wouldn't be left with much stem.
I don't think there's anything corrosive in rooting gels that would burn the epidermis away. It would have to be included on the label I would think and if it was meant to burn away the epidermis it would also burn away new root growth which would seem counter productive.

I do put little cuts on stem after dipping in root gell(Rootech). Just crossed my mind that I should cut , then dip.
Which leads to this question. How long should clones soak in root gel Before being put in cloner?

Day 13
Next two pic's Scraped and re-dipped in Rooteck. The one just scrape has one small root showing(no pic).
Not a great pic but many roots starting. Look how much the roots grew in two days.
Now if I can get them to all grow more uniformly to start the garden all at once. Then I know I will have acquired a little skill.

19 days into cloning.
7 clones left in cloner.
Next two pic's Top and bottom of same plant.
other clones in cloner
Next three clones did the test Magash talked about. Scraping the sides. Last clone pic also redipped in Rooteck.
And a shot of the clones today in hydro.
