Bud Rot? Bud Burn? Calyx Color Change?
    #536338 - 03/12/11 04:02 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

Okay. So I noticed this today on my Golden Goat @ 4 weeks and I am posting this right before work so I don't have time to fill out the form, so I will fill it out when I get home.

I don't think it could be bud rot but it looks like it. My humidity never gets above 20% but if it can happen with that amount of RH then damn. A few days ago I un plugged my inline for whatever reason. So the morning after the HPS was on in my tent for 2 hours before I woke the fuck up because I didn't hear the fan running.

Or this strain could be turning its Golden color if none of the above. When I first got my card and bought me this strain, I asked why is it "Golden" Goat(its a CO clone only strain) and they said its because the calyxs actually start turning gold half way to the end of its flowering cycle.

What do you think? Pictures do a lot of justice.

See you in about 5 hours or so. Thanks in advance for help if given.

I touched before lights out today, it definitely did not rub off and was not squishy. So if those are the traits of bud rot then I don't have it. Its either burn or trichomes/calyxs changing colors.

Still any word people?

1. Are you growing from seed or clones? Clone

2. How old are your plants? about 7 weeks total

3. How tall are your plants? 2' +-

4. What size containers are they planted in? 1 Gal grow bags

5. What is your soil mix? FFOF

6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use? Whenever they are dry, filtered balanced water.

7. What is the pH of your water? 6.0

8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio? 0-50-50 Diluted at 1tsp/gal (FoxFarm Beastie Bloomz)

9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? Week 1 - 2 of flowering, Dutch Master Reverse + Saturator

10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") 600W AC HPS

11. How close are your lights to the plants? 3-4", the light is not uncomfortable when my hand is over the cola

12. What size is your grow space in square feet? 2x4x5

13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 75F-80F

14. What is the pH of the soil? Unknown

15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? Nope.

16. How much experience do you have growing? 3-4 years

I actually think its burn from my fuck up, because the area is dry and crispy almost, I don't think that the Goat is supposed to change colors that much.

I know what chlorophyll break down looks like in the plants and this is not it.
