Also are you watering to get run off? Have you tested your run off? IMO I'd drop your PPMS to 750 and possibly flush before fixing the Mg def because it could be locked out yet abundant in your nutrient solution.
Too much Ca locks out K and Mg. Too low of a pH can also lock out Mg, apparently 5.8 - 5.9 is safe, you should be safe at 6.0 but something to keep in mind.
What I was saying was, your feeding strength is unnecessarily high for Coco. I've used 1100 PPM (at .7 conversion) as my maximum feeding strength, I typically use lower 750-840 and see no difference. Chimera uses a PPM of 250-750 and gets "record yields" apparently, H3ad uses the 6/9 recipe which works out to 500-600 ppm and he grows 10-12ounce trees in 5gals of coco, Heath Robinson uses ~840 ppm max and grows sometimes trees exceeding pounds. Some people doing organic hydro or organic coco push the PPMS very high but I don't see the point other than wasted nutrients. Ratios are important to avoid deficiencies, as explained earlier too much Ca will lock out other cations which could be the cause of your Mg def.
Flushing with a very mild nutrient solution could and probably is beneficial over plain water, I've read many people speculate this and could rationalize that it's from the free floating chelates in solution helping remove bound nutrients from the medium. That's just a hypothesis, I do not know for certain.
There's no problem with "over watering" coco, coco has enough air space that it doesn't get water logged so there isn't adverse effect from watering several times a day. Water 5 times a day if you want, so long as your watering isn't compacting the medium you won't be getting any adverse affect from the watering it self. When I water coco (more than daily) I get run off which acts as a miniature flush each watering as your watering more than what it takes to saturate the medium. This is beneficial because you're bringing in fresh air into the root zone. H3ad on ICMAG used the explanation of DWC being oxygen rich water being able to sustain healthy root mass and that other mediums are the same thing but in different proportions and with differently limitations due to their water and air holding capabilities.
