i found this dresser.made a grow box out of it.put a exhaust fan 70 CF, 6.0 sines. in the upper right conner. maybe one in the left botton conner for air, but need some suggestions on lights and watts.

Ya need CFL's, not those incandescents.
26 watt seems to be the highest ones I can find in most stores, but I think they make them up to like 200 without needing a special ballast? Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Also as other have mentioned CFLs, or if you got the cash even a 250 watt hps would do wonders in flowering compared to any equivalent in CFL.

Welcome.. As anyone will tell you, cfls ain't the greatest. I use them because of space /heat restrictions, and they do ok for me. However, You gotta place them just inches away from the plants. You should figure out a movable light scheme to get the most out of your cfls. That way you can focus lights on top and sides, moving them as the plant grows.. Also, more lights wouldn't hurt...

That grow box would be the even more awesome with a little LED light at the top. They don't cost much off eBay or craigslist. All this hype about new ones, but most of the work better then cfl's overall. I wouldn't go to much over 120 Watts for an led, unless you vent that box better. LED's aren't as hot as HID, but they do get hot. Quad band ones aren't bad for flowering and veg. I've tried a bunch of different configurations and they do pretty damn good compared to HID these days.
Also all those CFL's are going get a little hot. Not sure where you living but you should vent that box regardless. If you plan on sealing it up for sure; run a fan on dat thang. Do whatever you want but for the cost of a CFL vs the output in terms of light energy I think the LED owns it. The cost analysis of a LED light is it should work 5+ years. Which is about as much as a CFL. Oh the CFL's are more likely to break too and when you break one you release toxic nasty shit; mercury or something, I forgot what it was but it ain't good.

thanks for the info, finally someone with good advice I picked up a 250 8ps and a Mh light bulbs expecting a excise fan to be in soon and a mechanist is working on the light hood once again thanks for the advice and unfortunately I live in the north but keep up the good work 420 dude!
