I was just hanging around by myself smoking up and I managed to get myself higher than I expected. I didn't get paranoid but I started to get flooded with really rough memories. It was almost like I wasn't just remembering things; it was like I was re-experiencing the actual events. I remember I was crying but I don't even think I knew I was crying. It was powerful and weird. It's not like the weirdest experience I ever had on weed or anything but I never had THIS kind of experience on weed before. It's surprising when you smoke out a lot but then all of a sudden weed takes you outside your comfort zone and you realize how powerful it can be. I think the experience was probably cathartic. When I came down a little it made me realize I'm going to have to make some changes in my life or I might get bogged down too much to recover.

you probably just smoked too much, shit can get pretty crazy after one too many tokes.

im kinda in the same boat as you, I have some painful reppressed memories as well, I think she showed you what you need to see, and like you said its time to take action

In wasn't really a repressed memory. Just saying goodbye to loved one as she was passing away. Sad, but something most everyone has to go through sooner or later.

I can hardly smoke for pleasure/relaxation anymore. Its nearly always an intense experience.

Drugs will bring out repressed memories, especially hallucinogens IME.
It is classified by some as a minor hallucinogen, which makes total sense to me.
Marijuana fucks with me for maybe 10-20 minutes right after I smoke. And by that I mean extreme anxiety. But that will usually subside and then I'll feel good. I should quit, but I am addicted. In before you can't become addicted- shut up.

ive found that smoking alone will do this to people. something about not being able to express yourself to other high people can get shitty sometimes. just having a stoned buddy nearby to giggle with can make all the difference.
if youre used to smoking with friends, remember, you only hit the bowl when its passed to you. if you smoke with 3 people and smoke 2 bowls, thats still only 1/3 of what you smoke, ya know? just pack little ones and be comfy bros.
i know it sounds so lame and cliche and stonery, but every time in my life when im feeling down, i remember the song "three little birds" by bob marley. singing "dont worry about a thing" is really thereputic when youre feeling down. i remember when i was really at rock bottom and it came on the radio. i sang along crying and just felt sooooo good. thinking back to it now, i still feel how powerful it was. stoned or sober, it always helps me out.

my advice about weed induced anxiety is - smoke less at first - try to ease into your high
- take some of the edge off with booze or Xanax or both
