well i have indo and outdo right now just using sum CFLs till HOPEFULLY get a new bulb.

no, a 200 watt light will not work in a 250 watt ballast. I'm not even sure if those flood lights would be compatible either.

not in your setup NO. GET THAT BULB OUT NOW. You're asking to burn down your house if you leave it running. Never EVER run a lower, or higher, rated bulb in your ballast. Your ballast is meant to run only a specific wattage, do not in any circumstance place a bulb with a wattage that's higher or lower then what the ballast is designed for.

Hope he does, quick way to destroy your equipment, grow, and house. Then your ass gets tossed in jail after the fire department finds the burnt wreckage of your grow op.
to the OP, we're not saying this to be dicks, this is a serious safety hazard. For 12 bucks you can buy a proper bulb and probably still have enough cash for them to over night it to you. If you've got CFL's to keep them happy until the bulb arrives you should just use that. They'll be fine, your house won't burn, and your ass will stay out of jail.

You can take the 200 watt ballast *and* 200 watt bulb, though.
Take that ballast outa' your house and stick it in the grow room.

i did that instead.its kinda a bulky ballast tho
thanks for the input but as of now iam jobless have no spare money due to bills so ordering a new bulb is outta the question

Take for example the 430 watt sun agro bulb, made to run 400 watt ballasts.
Haven't heard of any fire hazards with that one.
