 Males and pollen how long before they bust?

I have a male bogglegum that is covered in balls 10 days in 12/12 how long before they begin to open up? Or is there a way to tell when they are about to? any advice on best way to capture and keep some pollen also?

i have knocked the plant and captured it on a magazine before and then i put it into pill bottles and stored in the freezer,seemed to work.
i would get that male out of the garden quick ~

Most males start to open between 3 and 5 weeks into flowering.

you planning on using that same flowering room for sensimilla purposes ever? cause once that shit busts that pollen is gonna get errywhere...

well kinda just need to see a ripe one to know what they look liek ripe. they get spindily grow out and open up the bananas and drop a surprising amount of pollen. can be 6 hours and a bunch will have opened up, next six hour etc
best way if you have a decent speration from females is hit male plant against a mirror or something like that. use right away if you want or let it dry out for a bit then bag up and refrigerate.

I remember reading that male pollen is only good for a month, maybe less, in optimum conditions.
