Ideally I would try to stay under 80. Fans wont do much in terms of cooling your tent down if the air that you are moving is hot to begin with. If you really want to cool it down you need AC or next time grow during the cooler time of the year so that the air is cooler....
(example, during the winter the out door temp is about 60-65, so in a 7x7x7 grow tent with a 400w tube and inline fan my tent is usually around 70-76 degrees and my room is usually no warmer than 73) In my experiences my tent is about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the air I am pulling in....
Things can work out still so Good luck!

Mine stays in the high 80's in the summer, almost in the 90's some days. Theres nothing I can do, because my grow room is on the second floor of my house (admittedly, not planned out so well.) I'm upgrading to a 400w from 250w soon, and IDK what I'm going to do this summer. I might have to rig something up downstairs...
Anyway, not to thread jack, but since his question is kinda already answered...whats too low? Freezing? Its winter time, and my room stays in the low 60's during the day, and I can't help but think its in the 50's during lights out...I'm hoping it will purple up my buds, but at the same time, I don't want to be harming them.

Why should that mean it isn't real?

Unless you are growing in extreme conditions or outside, your grow tent (with no fans running) should only experience about a 15 degree drop in temperature. To see how cold your grow room is getting buy a digital thermometer (like only 20$) that tells you a max and min temperature (link). This will tell you the hottest and coldest temps your room is getting.
If your grow room is reaching 50 degrees I would say that is a bit cold and will most likely slow growth and flowering. However I do not believe you have to worry about your plant dieing....pot is a strong plant.

if its a room you dont use often, nailing a few thick blanekts up in the doorway really works to keep heat out. we have a fireplace that sends all the heat directly up there. it used to be my bedroom and i found thats the only thing that keeps the heat out.
works wonders for the smell too!
