 LST or SOG?

In your experience, which technique is best for getting the best yields?
One big plant lst'd out and topped, or a bunch of little SOG clones in 16 oz cups or small pots?
I know it depends upon the strain and the mother, etc...but what do y'all think is best?

im starting my first little grow and im try lst. hopefully its yeilds nice.

I'm a big advocate for LST, I love the fact you can shape a plant anyway you like. I was well on the way to having a plant 10inch's tall but 2ft wide, I think a compact carpet of buds is better than a bunch of smaller plants, but I've only ever tried LST and never actually got to harvest so take all this as a noob throwing in his opinion

Hmmm. I've always done LST, but SOG looks so simple to me.

IMO LST is better. Larger root system for many buds vs. small root system for one budsite. just my 
P.S. Theres about 15 or 16 good sized budsites on that one plant.

i would forget both, and go scrog, with large pots for large root system,....
still grow little plant, but in larger pot if space isnt an issue.
why waste time on 1perfect plant, when u can have 15 perfect plants...shure buds wont be as big or dense as 1, but they wont be that much smaller either, just make bigger planter pots..and your yield with scrog or sog will be higher reguardless...just gonna take more time on your behalf, im shure you will think its worth it, my 2cents

Well, the plot I've been scheming is to clone a nice plant once I get one (preferably a nice indica, thinking of maybe some NL) and do 7 or so little plants in 16oz cups under 250w of HPS light. At the moment, I LST all the girls I grow out, but once I get a mother I'm happy with, I'd like to just do clones from there on anyway.

i think the sea of green is the way to go like magash points out !
i dont have any experience with it yet but im in the process of selecting phenos for that !
the research i have read points a finger to the sea of green as the most efficient way of growing for production and getting the most out of your hydro~
