Ok, this one is really starting to freak me out. We're one month into our flower here, did a long veg under 600w hps lamps. Switched to 1000w a week ago and it's all been down hill since. For some back round, the 600w lamps we switched them from where many years old, they where replaced with brand new 1000w hps. Plants all show what looks like a sudden and major sulphur deficiency, yellowing from the back to the tip of the leaves, eventually turning a very pale yellow including veins. Stems remain purple. Yellowing on the tops of plants, larger fan leaves mainly. Areas most affected directly under light. Compounding the difficulty with the diagnosis, just had my water checked, decided it was not hard water, changed nuts from hw gh to reg gh at the same time I switched the lamps from old ass 600w to brand new 1000w. One table of plants was kept under 2 400w metal halides, also ancient bulbs, but look healthier and have bigger buds than all the rest. Lights on this table are two feet away. CO2 being used, closed system. Had H2O supply analyzed by the local college, here are the results: ca 7.9 mg/l mg 3.0 mg/l na 3.6 mg/l k .58 mg/l co3 <0.1 mg/l hco3 29 mg/l cl- 3.2 mg/l so4 12 mg/l no3 <0.1 no3-n <0.1
additives being used (unless otherwise noted, assume half strength): Florilicous, thrive alive b1, sucanat, potasium silicate, fungi perfecti mycogro (host of bennificials), hygrozyme, canna rhizotonic (1/4 strength). Every water change hydrogen peroxide and clean H2O. Beneficials added after 5 day waiting period. Just added mineral matrix to the res as well as vermi compost tea.
Will post up pics tonight, any and all experienced help welcome and thanks in advance. BM
was foliar feeding daily until I switched to the 1000's. have now started to apply mineral matrix twice daily, switching 1000's to brand new 600's, and starting a res flush with hydrogen peroxide today. also picked up some hard water GH 3 part and will begin that tomorrow, probably without my list of additives until I see a recovery in progress. Was just in there, the canopy is really whited out. I'll post pics in a couple of hours. BM.
