U.N. wants internet cencorship

I mean, they've been wanting internet censorhip for a while but now it's in the open: Source 1 Source 2 Source 3 Source 4
Every day you'll be able to find more sources.
Pretty much as soon as the whole WikiLeaks thing happened Alex Jones said he knew it was going to be used to justify censoring the internet.
Internet cencorship is also just around the corner for America:
So fellas, if you don't want your internet cencored, write to your Congressmen and tell them your thoughts

Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find, there's no need"

I wish he could expanded on a few of his points. Like the organized crime gangs of the internet and the need for a killswitch in a time of war.
All in all. Sounds like a nightmare. The internet has been my bestfriend since my first pc when i was 8, maybe 9.
-------------------- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

The point is to not be so dependent on the internet for your communication that they can cut you off on the knees. Set up alternative messaging systems, like verbal communication from mouth to ear.

Word. The internet is a top layer communication medium, we can't rely on the interwebs for all our information.

I don't see how that has anything to do with censorship

PLus, I couldn't care less how these kids decide to communicate. It was going to happen, and we seen it happen. We watched it, we participated. Now it passed us up, and we couldn't keep up. Feel old?

If they censor certain things... then those things will be brought up more and more in actual cases and not just in isolated spouts of unsubstantial info.
So let em...
I admit, i'll be one pissed off motherfucker, though.

In the near future when the government finds out it should have been controlling this shit like television the whole time it existed, they are gonna use the internet to control us when were old foggies like the network news does to our parents and grandparents.

I think they already do. The magic of the internet was forgotten long ago in favor of ugly web sites and banner ads.

The point is, this has nothing to do with internet cencorship. It has everythign to do with freedom in general.
If we let them get away with this, you don't wanna know what's coming next!
