I'm not doing compost heaps right now.
I do vericompost and liquid compost if that counts. I have a few bins I recently started, have 2 for high performance worm production not looking to finish castings in there at all, replace fresh bedding and have high worm populations, one I use for my garden veggies, and another I try to finish the castings into a nasty dark paste and add plenty of minerals to it to help buffer my soil.
Going to be playing around with fermented plant extracts and homemade enzymes soon.
If you're using your compost for cannabis grown in soil I suggest adding your rock powders and liming agents to your compost instead of to your soil makes the nutrients and buffering abilities available sooner.

My compost heaps usually finish within 3 months. This can take longer if it's cold or if your compost components are resistant to decay. Composting wood that is half cellulose or more would take longer than grass clippings for example.
Worms take a bit longer if you want the best quality you basically want a dense dark paste again there's variables for how long this will take too. I'd probably estimate 5-6months.

An excellent choice. If you have any questions don't be shy.
