"Those" are actually only 1 song originally from the Eat a Peach album!
Oh yeah and Pink Floyd Echoes is amazing and all but it still has lyrics to it,, though they do jam out after it drops into that groove just before the ambience.
A Saucerful of secrets or the Atom heart mother suite by Floyd would suite this "Instrumental jam" thread better...
I'll post them later when I can find descent versions on youtube...
Also you can't forget about this classic radio Instrumental.

oh yeah, how dumb of me. Echoes does have lyrics. It's so epic it should be included. same with ina gadda da vida. Triad is a pretty fucking epic instrumental performance. That's the only one i can recommend from tool.
i saw them perform that song 3 months before that show, in Tulsa. Was the first concert I ever went to. I remember marching a whole bunch of people toward the front of the crowd (GA) during the peak of that song. Fuck i wish they would make that gd dvd.

Allman Brothers=
Some of the best musicians to ever pick up instruments right there. I watched all 30 minutes or so of that. Really awesome jam. It's so cool to hear Duane's parts and Dickey's parts and realize how well they meshed together. It's like they were one in the same, but so different. Such an awesome band and such a shame about what happened to Duane. I had the pleasure of seeing Dickey Betts at a small festival a couple years ago and he was playing with his son and a backing band. Really good show, they played some Allman Brothers songs plus their own jams. His son is actually really good too and Dickey Betts still ripped it too. Allman Brothers is real fuckin music and I'd like to take Duane's glass slide and jam it into Lady Gaga's eyeball. That is all
That kind of music just like, I dunno man, you see blue skies (how ironic) and green grass when you hear that shit. I heard something in a documentary or something one time that that show at the Fillmore East didn't end til like the next day in the morning or something. They jammed all night and everybody was gettin fucked up n shit trippin and all. That would've been so awesome to see that show live with some shrooms. Maybe just a small amount though.

Here's one for ya'll to check out. From another one of the greats, Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughan. So much technicality, soul, feeling, and just everything in this guy's guitar playing. He was one of a kind for sure.
I got one from Dimebag later on too

Love the Allman Brothers. Seen 4-5 nights of them over the years at festivals. This is probably my favorite instrumental.
p.s. Shrooms at an Allman Brothers concert is in fact amazing. especially when Robert Randolf, Warren Haynes, John Popper and Derek Trucks came up and jammed on like every other song with them one festival. My mind was blown every night I saw them....... now that I think of it I was tripping every time I saw them except one night.

I really hope Greg Allman get shaped up so they can tour again. They mentioned that Gov't mule isn't touring next year. That might be a hint as to that Warren Haynes might lead with the Allman bros again for another tour! I dunno for sure though, But I do hope so!
TABB dominated this thread. They can jam long and hard.

That would be great if Dickey came back for one more also. But I have a feeling that isn't gonna happen for some reason. If it does I'd probably be on the road...

you mean, going to all the shows? That's some of the most fun a person can have, following a band around for a while. I've never been able to do it for longer than a week. I've never seen TABB. I bet you would meet some really really cool people though.
