i looked at some pics and i think it is your typical San P. I plan on just growing these..but...are there hallucinogenic properties to this type of cactus or do you just want the torch?

Slice 1ft thinly, then dice, fill blender 1/2 way full, add water, blend. Put in big pot and boil down until you have a few shots worth. You can add more water during boiling down if needed.

I'd say its San Pedro. Looks like it to me.
<-Here's a comparsion photo to use of comfirmed San Pedro
<-Here's a collection of some cuttings
That should help you out. For testing potency, the only way is to do a water extraction (very nasty: just cut up into stars, peal wax skin off, and boil for 4-6 hours, drink nasty liquid, wait...) or you could do a chemical extraction (never done one but I know there's lots of guys here who have). The choice is yours...

I would have to agree with this. I think you definitely have San Pedro right there. Enjoy!
