whats up people ~
being a little new to soil less gardening i got a ???? im using a homemade peat moss and perlite mix and with the peat moss being fairly acidic im running my solution at 6.5 and when i take a reading of the run off it reads 5.2 ,5.3 so should i be bringing my solution up 6 points to 7 ,7.1 this sounds right to me but with lack of experience with soil less id like to hear from one of you guys
thanks dmtcorey

ok so i adjusted the ph to 7.1 for the solution and ran 10 new tests with 3 different strain .the one strain witch is a week older and i noticed also that these plants held more solution with slowed down the run off and caused it to pick up more acidity from the peat moss were testing in the 4.1 to 4.6 range well the other ones that the solution ran right through were testing from 5.2 to 6.6 so im a little confused ,is this a drainage problem in the medium or what? if im over all getting tests that range from 4.1 to 6.6 how can this work maybe peat is not the way to go ,seems vary unstable! so what do you people think? some of the plants are starting to get lock up as we speak so your advice is much appreciated
