i thought i'd make a thread just for all the questions im going to have regarding the set up of a grow closet. i doubt this grow will be under way untill after the new year, but i like to plan ahead.
this is the basic plan for the grow.
the actual grow area is going to be a wardrobe 250w hps/halide light 2 plants 4 inch ruck fan and filter
my main concern at the moment is power. i only have 3 power outlets in my bedroom so i was curious whether a contactor is actually neccesary for a single 250w hps/halide light.
lots more questions to come
thanks

yeah im in UK. and im really not too sure about this, but i think the sockets(outlets) in my room are spurs off the main circuit and i think the breaker is rated to 32 amps
electrical stuff confuses me
but after reading a few stories about timers melting because they didnt use a conacter ive decided it probably is best to use one just in case. it just means i need to move the furniture around a bit.

this grow room design is giving me a headache most wardrobes are probably going to be too small to fit a decent reflector and i cant even think how im going to be able to light proof the passive intake
im tempted to buy a grow tent but it wouldnt be as stealthy if i was to have some unwanted visitors
maybe i could cover it with posters so it at least looks like it could be a wardrobe

It would be good to befriend someone who knows about elect. Thats what I did.
Dealing with heat is a bitch. In summer cost more running a/c than lights and fans.
You'll figure it out.

luckilly its rare we get many hot days here. so i dont think it should be too difficult to keep the temp within reasonable limits. one of the benefits of a small grow
