do lower light levels affect bud quality?
    #497566 - 11/13/10 01:21 AM (14 years, 19 days ago)

I have a DR60 Secret Jardin grow tent, and I'd like to grow 4 or 5 healthy but smaller-sized plants. Would CFL lighting be a waste of time?

I'm not looking for huge yields, but don't want to end up with scrawny unhealthy plants either. Do lower light levels affect the quality of the flowers, or just the yield?

I've considered a 250W HPS, but heat could be an issue in my space. The room temp is usually 75-80 degrees F. How well do cooltubes work in this situation? Would a cooltube require an additional fan, or can I run it into the same fan as the charcoal filter?

Lower light levels = wayyy thinner buds.. I will have pics soon to show this..

The tops are thick, the bottom buds at the base (less lumens reaching this due to the inverse square law) are thus thinner.

You will get popcorn buds(light and airy)but the quality of the bud will still be good.

These were grown with 40 watts from T12.
