Why the fuck would you want to smoke powder? I can see using one of those if you're vaporizing but other than that I'd be pissed if my grinder turned out a bowl load of powder.

Guys, this is ridiculous!
The best grinder is a matter of opinion, not fact.
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one, and they all stink to some, and smell mighty damn good to others.
Myself, I don't prefer either, as I don't smoke joints! So IMO, they BOTH suck!

I was using the pyramid able to take buds/stems into powder as an example, the most I could get out of the space case was smaller chunks, not actual powder.
And I kinds did like smoking powder sometimes, made it easy and even for a 1 hit cash bowl for a bong. I also preferred the stems to be powder as they don't ever really burn to well or even in chunks, but they damn sure burn a lot better in powdered form. Turning stems into powder is kind of alot of work.

And BTW, Laysthepipe is retarded
Diamond are the better option, obviously...
As a veteran, I can tell you Space Case has the best machining and materials out there. I used to be in the business and they use the best machines with the closest tolerances to create their pieces. I love them, but they do cost you about 200% more. Plus how can you turn down a titanium grinder that doesn't dull?

Ahh. I see. Now given that the screen is for occasions, can the bottom be attached to the grinder excluding the screen piece or would it not complete the grinder for it functions? Would it be more logical to just buy the one-step-down space case model?

Oh no no I mean you only scrape up the kief and smoke it for special occasions. You might be able to screw just the top portion and bottom portion so it's a 3 piece but I'm not sure if the threads are meant to handle that so be careful if you do purchase one and try that.
Personally I wouldn't get anything but a 4 piece w/ screen. I don't even use my screen much but I can if I want to and that's a comforting feeling... If you are really strapped for cash, go for an off brand such as the one posted by TBDS or Sharp Stone. They get the job done and have stepped up machining in recent years to compete with Space Case... I'd give their grinders and 8/10 but SC easily get 9.5+/10 from me.

Thanks again. I will definitely be researching it before purchasing such a high valued item.
Haha I'm a top of the line kind of person--can't really stand half-assed companies (so to speak) for a lesser valued product.

Then you are just like me and would not feel totally satisfied unless you had the space case. Hell, even the 2 piece models are sick, I just like how I know its ground up in the 4 piece when the lid starts turning very easily... Usually about 6-8 turns back and forth.

I have the five piece Sharpstone and can confirm that at least on those models the threading is interchangeable. Sometimes when I don't have any appreciable amount of kif saved up it's nice to take the screens out and have a more conveniently sized pocket grinder.

Ahh man I was looking at the 2 piece space case last night... I think I'm going to get that one first and work my way up to the 4 piece model. That is unless the 4 piece can be complete without the screen with interchangeable threads--then I'll be getting just the 4 piece model. One and Done!

Get the titanium spacecase that inverted posted, i have the same one and it is epic
i have had lots of grinders but this is by far the best, smooth as butter even though mines been through hell
and yeah you can remove the section with the screen and it will make the grinder pocket sized

ugh, sorry those two are crooked. That's my grinder. It's the only one ive used for the past 6 years or so. it does the trick. I'm not enough of a snob to recommend one over another. just seems like a grinder is a grinder to me. vintage ftw.

£50 for a 4 piece space case from i think ill probably wait untill i by my vaporizer. i never seem to use my grinder when im smoking bowls

Same. I've never used a grinder until I started considering on getting a vape -- reason why I posted on this thread. For bowls I generally loosen the nugs delicately. Now that I'm interested in a vape, I'm now interested in a space case.
