Yeah we most likely would need mods by a week or 2 max. Otherwise things would get out of hand.

even till then they at least need to see if any of the shroomery mods could temp over here. It's not even been 24hrs yet and the smoke lounge is turning into OTD.

No "rules" have been broken. You have to remember this isn't the Shroomery. There is no Pub and OTD. If you want to think of it in those terms it is essentially a mix of the two for now. Also remember, quote pyramids aren't bannable in the Pub anyway, at least not that I recall (there is an Utter Nonsense thread after all), so I don't see why Matt in particular should be called out.
In short, The Smoking Lounge does NOT equal The Pub, at least in my understanding. Geo or Ythan correct me if I'm wrong.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.
My thoughts are this though: If you want a Pub atmosphere, go to the Shroomery. If you want OTD, go to the Shroomery. If you want essentially a combination, stay here. Maybe that's just me being greedy and trying to get everything possible, but I mean if there aren't differences in the communities between the two sites then I see no reason this shouldn't just be a couple sub-forums of the Shroomery.

I don't think the admins wanted scat, goatse, and quote pyramids to be a part of the smokers lounge. First of all quote pyramids are annoying as hell in ANY forum, and a lot of people DO find goatse and scat porn to be abrasive and offensive.

I also don't see why having a pub atmosphere is a bad thing, they are two different sites, and will have different demographics. Why should the community over here go to another site for the pub atmosphere?

Yeah, I think that the site should stay respectable for awhile on the sole principle that pot heads have a bad image already, scat pictures on our websites don't help things.
One day, everything will and should be acceptable (at least in it's respected forum).
There's no mods to keep up with this, but it's just an idea.

By the way; I'm not saying there shouldn't be mods, and I'm not saying anything should go. I'm just saying I don't think anything thus far has been particularly out of line or ban worthy.
