Final Fantasy XIV is having an open beta.
It's already started, but my comp isn't good enough to play.
I'm not really interested, but a free beta is a free beta.

Guildwars 2 also is looking quite amazing at the moment.
Before the necromancer dies, he doesn't enter the downed state the rest of the professions do, he enters a very powerful state where his body is dead and he can still run around called death shroud. He can also activate this state manually.

I've wasted too much time running around looking for imaginary items. I hope they find a way to make MMO's fun in the future.
The only games I'm keeping an eye on are The Old Republic and Diablo 3.

On the complete opposite end of the computer requirement spectrum the old turn/text-based MMPORPG Earth:2025 has been retooled and streamlined at Earth Empires (though admittedly it's a lot less fun when there are only 1k players instead 15k)

I am looking forward to Diablo 3 as well, but I mostly play first person shooters like call of duty series and the battlefield games.

I don't expect them to ever finish it. I did however love the game pre-CU and would play the shit out of it if they did finish.
