Why do I like Cali?

There are now more pot clubs in Cali then 7-11s, McDonald's, and Starbucks combined. Gotta love it.

No way man, post some statistical data on that one. You know how many 7-11's their are in 1 city alone, let alone Starbucks? McDonalds? Their are at least 5,000 of those 3 where I live and maybe 100-300 dispensaries.

It's in the new special that was aired tonight on the National Geographic channel. Those statistics are not hard to find either. It's very well known there are over 2000 clubs in the LA area alone. In San Francisco I can do business with 4 clubs without walking more a block, with 20 without driving more then a mile.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/foo_mcd_res-food-mcdonalds-restaurants
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starbucks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7-Eleven
Since there are only 451 McDonalds in the entire state, 7-11 has 7750 stores in the entire country, http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jul/24/business/fi-seven-eleven24/2 ; and Starbucks has 11068 stores in the entire United States so this can't be true Quote:

Sounds like overkill and something that will naturally decrease once the "buzz" does. The number of dispensaries that is.

You know Tangerines I keep thinking the same thing but new clubs keep opening and less and less are getting busted. I have to also admit I've never seen a club that does bad business or a owner that has ever said "how am I gonna get rid of all this weed".

I was just saying that while it is booming now there has to be a natural limit. Plus, if capitalism has any foothold in the business, there will be less stores but bigger stores servicing the area eventually. It sure is interesting to watch it play out though.

I was reading the outstanding quote from magash, so I had to look it up in Google:
Quote:
In California there seem to be more outlets for cannibusiness – dispensaries, co-operatives, wellness clinics and taxi delivery services – than all the Starbucks, McDonald's and 7-Eleven stores in the state combined. Since November 1996, when Proposition 215 (the Compassionate Act) was voted into law, the number of medical marijuana dispensaries in California has skyrocketed to more 800. There were only 183 in 2007. In case the dispensary is too far away, or you are too stoned to go out and get weed, a secondary industry has developed in which couriers are employed to deliver it to your door, like pizza. Given grass's propensity to give one the munchies, this is a handy way to kill two birds using one stone.

I believe it has already started happening. I heard the average price for a pound of medical grade is down nearly 40% because of the oversupply. Ive been hearing people getting lbs. for 1800-2200 now-a-days
Plus Cali is super gay. If you just want to smoke weed legally, go to Colorado.

After alcohol prohibition ended, alcohol producers didn't hit their peak for years. Not saying Weed will take the same course, but I think there is gonna be a window after legalization where there will be a lot of money to be made
As far as price, some good cali bud can be had for 700-800 per qp hundreds of miles away, delivered. SOME people are getting desperate down south.

I like where I live, because I could sell pounds for 3,500-4,000 all day.

It used to be like that here. Then the market kind of split between cheap medical bud, and expensive street prices. I think we know what side won out

Thats at the price per gram though.
Idk if that's normal.
Comes from Colorado.
They charge 25 a gram, and they move a lot of it too.
