Back in Germany, I smoked everyday and I could not sleep without dope. I was kind of worried coming over because I was thinking "Shit... how am I going to sleep? I got school, a dog, etc. etc. fuck how am I going to function normally without it for a couple of weeks or maybe even months?"

So I decided I'm going to run myself to exhaustion everyday - I'm going to run through this addiction. 12-15km a day.

So far it's working. Been able to sleep fine, and all the endorphins I'm releasing boosts my mood and leaves me feeling great for the entire day! Runners high ftw! :grin:

I think I may actually just quit smoking all together and solely use the stuff I grow for "greater good" purposes. :wink:

I think maybe I'll try getting myself addicted to heroin, and then just running through withdrawal just to show some of you losers what cry baby's you all are. :lmafo:

Cycling is bomb! I do that on my off days. It's a fantastic work out! :thumbup:

Running is much more badass imo. Takes a lot more to run than to cycle.

Anyway.. that sounds awesome. I should start running and cycling more..

Your mood has improved too? Endorphins are great but is is still unknown as to how runner's high works- because the endorphins in your blood cannot cross the blood brain barrier.

I run/jog around town and do yoga. I think yoga is great for the mind probably wouldn't do much for getting you exhausted though. I start my day with yoga then a run if weather permits.

Haha, it's not so much a mental high, it's a body high. I think the state of mind you enter though when you get the runners high is just a result of pushing yourself beyond when your body is tells you to stop and shut down. It takes a ton of motivation and incredible endurance (which is also very mental in my opinion.) Afterwards, you feel accomplished, strong and your body feels good. :shrug:

Haha, it's not so much a mental high, it's a body high. I think the state of mind you enter though when you get the runners high is just a result of pushing yourself beyond when your body is tells you to stop and shut down. i love cycling more than running, running really is harder though. They are both in my top 5 favorite things to do, and so is swimmnig. such great work outs.
