The new dynamic would be walmart in the mountains with a bunch of poor fools.
How many small businesses in this area would actually face competition from Wal*Mart, and how many people do they employ? Your idea of Wal*Mart coming in and everything else vanishing and only a bunch of poor fools left is quite the gross exaggeration.

Wal*Mart accounts for 10% of all non-automotive retail sales. Where are all of these people going out of business?

WTF?
If everyone starts shopping at Walmart, obviously they are no longer buying where they bought before.
It's not like Walmart magically creates new consumers.

Obviously, but it isn't as if other businesses are dying from the plague. You still haven't suggested why its so horrible that one business would be more successful than another business. You were living in a fantasy land earlier, saying that Wal*Mart only hires enough people to do the work they need done and will only pay as much as they need to pay in order to keep that many people working there, while suggesting that these small businesses go the opposite way - which, logically, would be hiring as many people as they can and paying them as much as they can. Of course, this obviously isn't true, and if it were, its no wonder they went out of business because they wouldn't know how to run a business.

Actually, most of the profit that one store generates covers the cost of the operations of the company which sets the stage for the store to do business. Any profit the company collectively generates is only due to the fact that there are thousands of stores, and this profit margin is pretty slim compared to other corporations. Any profit that the owner of a local business ( a truly local business where the guy actually lives there) is probably not that large to begin with. The savings on consumer items is passed along to the consumer, who lives in the locality, as well as the income all of the workers generate, which is taxed, not to mention the other taxes the company would have to pay for the store. You also asserted that the combination of smaller businesses which would close due to Wal*Mart would equate into the same amount of taxes being paid, but I doubt this is true.

I've never been in a walmart and I hope to never have to.
I've been in Target once that I can remember, their fucking defiling of good music in their commercials is beyond forgiveness.
I've been in Kmart numerous times, but I understand a walmart is much worse.

Walmart pays hundreds of employees when you would have just been paying a hand full of kids and old people at your normal mom and pop shop.
Plus if your small town got a walmart it would have brought customers from all the towns surrounding you bringing your town more money.
Walmart haters suck, i get more shit for my money at walmart and it boosts the economy, watch shit shit to find out why your a moron.

For a prime example of how much bullshit there was in that episode of Bullshit: notice how they brush aside a lot of negative claims about the employment practices, citing how much Walmart treats its fulltime employees. The thing is, Walmart just hires enough people that they can have everyone work less than fulltime. They refuse to let employees work fulltime if at all possible. This is very effective at minimizing the benefits that are legally required for fulltime workers.
And the part defending sweatshop practices?
