 Moving today

Well I am sick of my new roommate. I figured he could keep this place and I would go find myself a place.
I found an amazing 750 square foot, 1 bedroom place. I move in today
I am pretty fucking excited.

rent is a bit higher than what I pay now. It's 525 but that includes electric
so it ends up being about 50 bucks more a month, but the place is wayyyy nicer than where I live now
Not to mention it's about the same size as the 2 bedroom place i have now

Actually im not getting to move in until Friday. They got to clean the carpets and get it all cleaned up for me to trash

Congrats man, moving in is always a bitter sweet feeling for me. It means new adventures and excitement, but also moving itself is a pain in teh ass and you could get shitty neighbors

Getting a job is a good task when trying to sustain rent.
I had to pay a damage deposit, first and last month rent before moving in to my place. The damage deposit is normally $375 but the landlord only took $100 because I agreed to paint the place and fix damages made by the previous tenant. Unfortunately there's some water damage so the primer took briefly as did the paint but it's since peeled. I brought it up with my landlord explaining it may not take and he told me to proceed with the painting. Now he's not happy since there's a ripple in the otherwise fresh paintjob I did. He really doesn't give a fuck about this place another tenant has a rotting doorframe from water damage so it's only a matter of time until serious renovations need to be made here.
I hope you enjoy being roommate free. I personally have never had a roommate other than the short term friend being around for various reasons. I know people who always end up with rooomies they hardly know or like and it never ends well either getting screwed over or just hating being at home. I hope you enjoy your move!

We moved 2 truck loads last night and called it quits. Apparently I have a lot more shit than I realized
Tonight were moving the big screen and all the electronics. Then it's the first night at the new place.
Hopefully cable and internet has been turned on today.

Luckily I live with my girlfriend for free ever since I had to leave my house due to my roommate stealing copper and making it so we had no gas, water, or electric.
