I have an idea that i believe would be safer to produce your own honey oil. Using the denatured alcohol method only instead of using a hot plate and risking a minor/major flame up. I have access to a decent convection oven which uses warm air to heat the food.
If I were to use a 2 gallon stainless steel bowl with denatured alcohol and my product, could it safe to proceed? My thoughts are that although it's not necessarily faster but it's safer and at more controlled temperature.
Thoughts and comments please, I don't want to blow my head off or burn the house down but I think it just might work.
Hot plates do not cause flame ups at all, they are all that are used in chem labs and other situations. DO NOT EVAPORATE INSIDE, i still dont have arm hair and that was about 6 yrs ago.
Why would you want to use denatured alcohol when blindness is a result of incomplete distillation? Make up a distiller for recycling everclear and come out with a clean oil.
