I had a 4ft plant outdoors in a bucket that got blown over by the wind and snapped the main stem about 3/4. I wrapped it in electrical tape while also connecting it to a rod that I shoved into the soil. The plant took about a week or two to continue growing and flowered fine.
Yeah, if there is a millimeter of material holding it on I would guess it will live. You will know soon, if its not gonna make it the leaves will go completely limp in like 6-12 hours.
You talk about the main cola, how far into flowering are you?
