the grower who i got this from [sour diesel] cutting from is kind of a tool and doesnt know how to take cuttings, and won't listen when you explain the correct way to do it... i didnt think much would come of this one, but its doing great under my 150 watt HPS.
i wanted to post here to see what, if anything is wrong with the stem, and if i can do anything about it.
i was told to let it grow up another 4-6 inches before transplanting. i have fox farm's grow big for the vegging. i hvent used it yet because i was told it didnt need nutrients or anything for another month when i got it. would it be a good idea to use some the next time i water it?

the stem isnt entirely unhealthy, you should take the advice you were already given and wait AT LEAST a month before using the GrowBig likewise i would give an appropriate amount of time for the plant to rejuvenate and build a stronger root sys before transplanting. How long have you had the cutting ? How far away are your lights ?

I believe from the looks of it that it already has rooted.
It looks like he cut the original top off of the clone and this new growth came out of the side. Looks almost like a bamboo cutting you buy at the mall.
Should be fine, it looks healthy, don't use the Grow Big for at least 3 more weeks, she looks great anyways, just give it time and let it do her thing.

im going to wait until its at least 6 inches tall before i transplant it. its definitely rooted. idk when the original grower took the cutting, he said he used gel and rockwool, and that it had already rooted and was ready to veg. gotta say, the grower sucks at taking cuttings... i always see tiny 2-3" cuttings in rockwool cubes...
ive had it for 5 days. its in a cup on the ground and the light is 2'2" off the ground. i have a fan blowing in there, and the door open. the temp where the clone is, is around 74-77 degrees. it seems to be doing just fine. doesnt seem to be too hot at all.

i use distilled water. i grew a few years back and thats what i used. worked perfectly. tap water is all fucked up here.
the pH if i remember correctly is 6.5
i only have 1 clone and i planted 4 dank bag seeds in soil today after germinating them.

If you have the ability you should still check the pH of ever container you get. I've seen some variation in them from time to time.

It was nice of them to give you a clone, but a douche thing to do to give you a cutting that they didn't think would "do anything."
