I figured I'd soak my rooting cubes in a solution of Roots Excelurator and see if that helped any. That's actually how I first heard about this product.

Yeah I was gonna try that method but I really hate using cubes. I guess that's the only choice I have since the hydro guy, and Houuse and Garden website says not to use it in aerated systems. Plus I guess I can use up all the Root Riot cubes I have chilling in ziplocks taking up space. I kinda can't wait to give it a whirl. Coda let us know how it works out.

It will be a while before I can test it out, but when I do I'll make a thread about it. Interesting that it can't be used in an aero system, wonder why.
I tried out those root riot cubes and they worked out pretty well. I liked them a little more then the peat pellets because the medium comes into better contact with the stem. They were a little unstable in my tray though and had a tendency to tip if I jostled the cloning chamber too much. Other then that they were pretty easy to work with and gave me some good results.

I use it as well, wonderful product.

Yep, I used Roots Excelurator on my last grow and I'll never grow without it again. The roots in my bucket were so thick I couldn't even poke my finger into the soil.

Them seem to have grown faster then clones without this product. If anything works, I think this product actually does something.

Hey cicken maybe if you took time to read you would know that it can't be used in hydro or aeroponics. Both methods in which "I" use to grow. And trust me I know who's reliable on the board, so when I need tips on phototron growing I'll shoot you a pm. Not trying to be a dick or anything.

Oh fucking Lolzies.
But for the record, I used RE in Hempy and coco, both of which are considered hydro. Just don't use it in nutrient immersion systems like NFT, DWC or aero

Thanks Harry. I predominately use aeroponics, so I'm gonna steer clear of using it myself. Just wondering what some other people were using as root stimulator's in their aero setups.

pics of your aero unit? Did you use plans off the internet or a purchased unit? I'm amazed at how many homemade units there are!
I know a guy who made a stink buddies unit and said it maximized his yield which is important for him because he is a registered grower for Health Canada. It really seems like hydro is spreading like a disease it's more and more understood, getting more and more simplified, it's no longer taboo!
I even thought indoor growing was nonsense until a few years ago. I still believe it is, I can grow outdoors enough weed to last me the year and have even developed a system to trade on credit with my friends so I have their fresh buds during the off season.
Works like a charm

I'll try it for the clones on rockwool cubes before I flower these babies; if you goto grow journals, you can see the plants.
In fact I'll do half the clones with Roots Execelurator and have the roots with Clonex and see which one wins?

no you should give them both clonex because RE is NOT a cloning hormone. That just wouldn't be a fair test. Basically just clone them all normally until they're well rooted, then apply RE to half of them and watch the progress from there

I've been messing around with homemade syatems for like the past 10yrs. I use a stinkbud style setup with a modifications I found to work better.

Well I don't believe that at all. Here where it's cold most of the year, I would only get one crop a year. And I don't have all summer to wait for just one crop. I may do an outdoor grow next year, but even then unless it's very well hidden the helicopters spot most grows.

Do you have an accurate idea of how many outdoor grows get busted where you live? Having lived in British Columbia which is notorious for fly over helicopters I'd say the most they get is 1/4-1/3 of the big grows. Small plots are nearly never looked into by law enforcement unless they're very close together at least that's the policy in BC.
What modifications have you made to the Stink Buddy unit? Any pictures? I thought the setup I saw was amazing it was more or less exactly as instructed online.

I have no accurate idea as of how many, but from talking to my ex-girlfriends dad a few years back who worked in TNU for the state police he would talk about it all the time. But I didn't wanna get into all the details at that particular time. Come to think of it I never ask for too many details. Weed busts always come up as a topic of discussion amongst cops. Whenever I mod one of their little kids wii's it just comes up. Besides around here indoor grows are just common. And me being a cardholder, outdoor grows is something I just wouldn't rely on for many different reasons.
All modifications are minor like measurements, for the down spout that goes into the reservoir I use flexible tubing instead of PVC pipe. I found it be a lot easier when it comes time to switch out the nutes. Some systems I added holes to see if I could fit more plants in without affecting the yield of the original 6 or 14 plants he uses in his setups. I've used wide PVC pipe instead of the fence posts he uses to hold the 2in pots. PVC has so many different connectors you can use to connect pipes. Where with the fence posts you are kinda limited. Mostly simple stuff like stated before. I used his plans as a base, and take the size and shape of the grow room I'm working with into consideration. My new room is smaller, and systems are basic with just the minor mods as stated above. Pics will be up in a few weeks when I start my White Widow and Kings Kush grow log.

I'll try to get that info next time.
