 The study of Z strain  1

These some pics I found on the net and just call them mine, so SWAM gets the credit
I have started a new study of some nice Zs strain. I have done them before but I kind of let this other love of mine go to the side of the road for awhile since my last time the big greeny showed its ugly head and I know it was mt fault I got lazy with it and this is what will happen.
I inoculated them 3 days ago and just went down and gave them a nice shake, everything looking good so far. I will post pics when they have colonized a little more(I am using an old spore print so they not as fast as the fresh prints would be.
I use wbs and a lite coffee mix instead of straight water and of course a knife tip of gypsum. I use a TiT incubator and fruit chamber. I love the TiT method for controlling temps.
Will post more as it goes plus will put up pics as well

I get my prints and syringes from Ralphster, never had a problem with his stuff and if there is he is very trust worthy for replacing. This is the Z strain and IMO very easy to grow and is a great body type buzzzzz hence the name. I will be casing them very soon. I hope the pics of the two jars shows the nice rhizmo on the side of the jar.

after these run their course I have to decide which ones I going to do next. I have like 8 different prints to try, and I am thinking of maybe a contest on here and some trading too, if I am allowed to, I do not want to break any rules here, if every thing goes to plan and the big green meany doesn`t show it`s ugly head

I put a thin layer of my own concoction of hpoo, coir, vermiculite, and coffee(plus the grounds) over the colonized wbs. I use 3 pint jars to 1 large ziploc container(I have a small set up, usually just me my wife and a couple of close friends and not very often)
Then back into the incubator for a couple of days to let them colonize some more after shaking them out of the jars.

Z is a great body buzzzz type one, good cev but not like Colombian and the other oev types out there. I like PESA as well very nice one to take a trip with. I have thought about ordering the koh sumi(look like nice big fruits as well. yes i use oatmans too, thats why I tried to use it in my casing as well, if it helps them colonize that much faster and oh yes it does help. I have read good things about the arcadian coast ones as well. The other thing about Zs is that they seem pretty hearty and easy to grow. love the pics in your sig crusty. I hope I can do that good some day

and here they are going into the fruiting chambe
I love the tub in tub(TiT) set up for both incubating and fruiting chambers, it makes it much easier to control temp IMO.
Here is a pic of my other favorite kind of grow, It will be the beautiful green kind when I get my seeds and grow room set up, but for now I love my garden outside too

We start to get pins going which is always a good sign lol

They are coming a long nicely. I noticed that I forgot to tape up the sides of my container lol so I have a few coming up the sides of it. I will not make that same mistake with the next study which will be S.A. as long as my LC does not get any contaminates. I decided to try oatmans easy LC since I hate to get the PC out for just one small jar.
