as far as sexing goes, will you determine sex from preflowers or clones? i'm new to this whole game and was wondering if preflowers show up during veg, and if so, about how long after the seeds germ?

Thank you, they have begun sexing already, only a couple but I'm sure the others won't be far behind. Generally they show up after about 4-6 weeks after germination, if grown correctly. I have a very good eye for preflowers as I have been spotting hundreds of them for years. I have had plants show me a false preflower before and I am really uncertain as to why that would happen but it has. I have only taken clones from flowering plants so that I could be certain they were solid fems, and had no problems at all with it and it even caused me to get many tops as you can see with my 250w run.
We are finally getting some sun! It has been a couple weeks of nearly solid overcast or rainy days, and the forecast is pretty stable for a week so maybe we'll finally see some new growth and make an update.

awesome, thanks for that info. i'm asking cause i have a bunch of vegging seedlings right now i was hoping to transplant outside within 3 weeks (first gro!  )
they're all between 2~3 weeks old, and i wanted to transplant only females once they reached sexual maturity
you guys have inspired me to take it outdoors in the land of 10,000 lakes

some old bag seed i had laying around, from the looks of it i might have some indicas and sativas
of course i'm only hoping for a few solid outdoor plants, might keep some inside too under the 400w HPS

As a fellow up northern all I can say is WOW f-ing WOW. I bow to you all mighty masters. I hope with patience and learning that I will be able to do that half as good you guys are doing. Why did I wait so long to switch over from the shroomery(thats right I am mr paranoid(lol)) but I am so glad I did and now I am making great new friends who share the same love. Ok guys, Massively amazing update coming. We just checked the plants and after some giving some nutes recently and finally getting some consecutive days of sun our plants have taken off rocket ship status. HUGE HUGE!!! Pics should be up within the next few hours. Prepare to salivate.

Here's the first plot (10 plants), and the first one is our supercropping experiment which seems to be working extremely well. We basically supercropped the 4 main branches, and then every secondary branch coming off of those... It's about 2 feet tall and a straight bushy ball. It's Hindu x Master Kush The rest at this plot are all clones of the Magash test strain (SS x BK) except one freebie from I don't know which seed bank but it smells like skunk and looks to be a heavy Indica. The second plot has grown immensely as well. Just wait for the July sun...  I left a space in between plots for your reference, which has 3x Aurora Indica, 1x Purple Skunk magash pheno clone, and 1x AK-48 (the 6+ footer I'm standing behind).
Edit: We topped all of our plants as well this visit, as well as a massive feeding of FloraNova Grow. Stay tuned 
         2nd Plot Grave Hole (huge improvement, at least 3x the size) --->  Now the rest
