 Bag seed/growing from my window grow log. 4 weeks

My friend got a bag of weed, and in it was a seed. He claims the strain is Granddaddy purple. And thats its medical. But I'm not sure. This is my first grow. The seed is a lot smaller that i thought it would be. Anyways I am currently germinating it using the wet paper towel method.

how small is it ?
If its smaller than a BB its probably not developed fully
anyway I am growing some bagseed right now too outside and it is either purple 99 (which was amazing and I want more) or something else from an ounce of middies I bought a while ago

Well theres nothing i can do to make it fully develop. I just need to hope for the best.

I doubt this, although I have seen people speculate about having a male present somehow making the females know it isn't necessary to hermaphrodite - I don't think there is anything to it, though, different stresses are responsible for it to happen.
The one thing to worry about when growing one seed is the odds that it is a male plant, though. If its just one seed someone found somewhere, then why not try it out and see what happens, but if you have more seeds than just one, it'd be better to start with a few.

My friends came up to me after buying a dub and said he found a seed and said i could grow it
It just sprouted today

If at all possible I like to at least veg mine under 40 Watts or more of Flourescent lighting before attempting to place them outdoors.
It gives them that extra boost they need to get started with the 24 hours light, and the extra stiffness of the stem (with a fan and lower tighter nodes) and really gives them more of a chance to survive outright... I noticed double the growth between the half I started outdoors and the others were started indoors.
Once I put them outside though, I realized you can't beat the sun! They nearly caught up the the ones that were a week older and larger just because of the pure days of sunlight we received...

Looking healthy! Good luck with this grow. I've tried to grow pot several times over the years with bag seeds. I've gotten a little farther than you are now each time only to have it die out. I never fucked with the appropriate nutes, light or ventilation so it's no wonder i fucked it up.

Nice and healthy man! Keep up the good work and I'd advise trying to give her more sunlight it looks like she's growing kinda slowly for such a so-called high quality strain... Just my $.02
